Sounds good to me. Along the lines of being grounded in a relative sense, I think you can develop notions of limitations which are really non-constructive. I think if you are ungrounded or grounded in a non-relative sense it doesn't feel that way. Or, it is more apparent that those limits don't exist. It's hard to be aware of things... |

You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. |
Albert Camus |
In order to exist, man must rebel, but rebellion must respect the limits that it discovers in itself - limits where minds meet, and in meeting, begin to exist. |
Chuck Hagel |
Nations, great nations have limitations. All nations have limitations. Even great powers have limitations. |
Isabelle Adjani |
My limits will be better marked. Both the limits I will set, and my own limits. |
Jennette McCurdy |
I feel like no one starts entertainment with an impure intention, but somewhere along the way, lines become blurred and you're no longer sure which way is up and which way is down. |
Roman Jakobson |
The task is to investigate speech sounds in relation to the meanings with which they are invested, i.e., sounds viewed as signifiers, and above all to throw light on the structure of the relation between sounds and meaning. |
Charlotte Gainsbourg |
I still find it hard to push my own limits. I know where my limits are and that I always have to push myself. |

There are no problems that exist in the District that have been solved elsewhere in the country. Whatever problems exist in this city exist other places. |

My family are too grounded, and I will go home to visit. I always need my dose of Liverpool to keep me grounded. |

Notions of limitations are the worst. I'm not sure what you mean by non-relative . It doesn't feel what way?

you're saying people ground themselves in others (relative) but they can be grounded in just life (non-relative)

been thinking about what healthy skepticism of science looks like. Scientists are skeptical of science themselves. It's part of the nature of the profession. In fact, is having a skeptic perspective of scientific notions a scientific perspective in and of itself? Maybe not, maybe it depends on where the skepticism comes from or where it leads.
At the mention of skepticism of science, we might think of a group that gets a lot of attention and ridicule--flat earthers. In my opinion, it'd do some good to shift the discourse about flat earthers a bit. Will/might come back to what I was going to say about flat earthers because I'm about to play stardew valley...

Humans need to ground their energy with a clear objective. Or else being lost in thoughts brings you to the ineffable why of everything and you will hurt. Most people ground themselves with the authority of others but if you've had enough experiences and/or time alone to begin thinking independently you will see the damage that societal authorities do and be antisocial and lost in your own analyses. Addiction and depression or extreme arrogance or maybe all three. Left with all your energy to ground by yourself, there is still no sovereignty when the design of the universe governs our drives and sets our limits. Our energy is already grounded by the callings of life itself. That is the real authority.

Pretty sure it's just that the part of my brain that tells me which things make sense and obey the laws of physics don't always activate when I'm sleeping and thinking about buildings.

It is an experience that our mind presents for us and the dictation of time by our minds rules everyday life. So in a sense you are right, but in another sense I'm not sure you understand what the term "real" means.

Well, it's really cool at first, and it's definitely a skill you can develop. You can get good at controlling your dreams, too (summoning new elements, or trying to render things differently (don't know how appropriate render is for word choice).
Exhibiting control is actually quite exhausting, ironically, and the in between stage (bad way to describe it) when you're on the verge of wakefulness and hanging on to a dream-state by a thread is quite an lonely, dark, barren, color-void space (not that there are very many colors in your dreams to begin with).
Personally, I feel it's much better...

I actually just watched a presentation on this on YouTube. Makes sense if you're going to develop rockets for interplanetary travel to get it into the market where people care about and want to use the technology before we take it off this planet.
