John Baldessari |
That word 'funny' always makes me feel uncomfortable. Because if I were trying to be funny, I would be something like Bill Wegman - he really tries to be funny. I don't try to be funny. It's just that I feel the world is a little bit absurd and off-kilter, and I'm sort of reporting. |
Paul Feig |
What I don't like is when I see stuff that I know has had a lot of improv done or is playing around where there's no purpose to the scene other than to just be funny. What you don't want is funny scene, funny scene, funny scene, and now here's the epiphany scene and then the movie's over. |
Christine Ebersole |
I thought my family was really funny. Everybody in my family was funny. My mom and dad both have great senses of humor and really saw the funny in stuff, so I think that's probably where it came from. I always try to see the funny in things. |
Kathy Baker |
I love to do comedy, and I don't think of things as drama or comedy. I think that if it's a funny line, it's a funny line. If it's a funny moment, it's a funny moment. |
Lee Hall |
I don't really find things funny unless they're deeply tragic at the same time. I think if you're funny just for the sake of being funny, it's just frivolous nonsense. To me, all the best comic plays have been written about really serious and rather bleak things. |
Bobby Darin |
A comedian's body is funny as well as his mind being funny, his whole personage is funny. |
Larry David |
I think we're all good and bad, but good's not funny. Bad is funny. Suppress the good and let the bad out, and then you can be funny. |
Paul Feig |
I love funny people, and when I'm with funny people, or people who are amusing in their weirdness, I love it. Because that to me is funny, as opposed to someone who stops and says, 'Hey let me tell you a joke.' |
Anthony Fauci |
What the immune system of man has in its advanced development is what we call immunological memory, so that once it sees something for the first time, when it sees it the second or the third time, it can respond against it in a way that's much more accelerated than when it sees it for the first time. |

The time to read is any time: no apparatus, no appointment of time and place, is necessary. It is the only art which can be practiced at any hour of the day or night, whenever the time and inclination comes, that is your time for reading; in joy or sorrow, health or illness. |

when you got a guy talking with the vibe he's reading a script but he leans into bc it's funny but it's good enough where you're like woah-is he doing that to be funny or is he not even aware of it all
that's the funniest combo

One time when I was younger, my brother was mowing the lawn and I was having a really great time chasing him. I was laughing a lot because of how annoying he thought I was. For whatever reason I thought it was so funny to see him try to flee me while on the lawn mower and it was also hilarious how mad he was getting, and I found the whole thing just too funny so I fell over laughing. Well my dog was also having a great time running around in circles in the yard bc i was and he was running really fast and ran over my face. His paw punched my eye and I had a black eye. Lol.

What are good ways to distribute surveys? I have distributed them on Facebook, and Reddit. Reddit has a /r/SampleSize where people take each others surveys and that went pretty well but I need more.

Sometimes I'm so busy hating school that I forget about how cool everything I'm learning is. I just had a moment where I thought to myself, "UGH I should start reading this damn paper to prepare for my proposal. DAMNIT." And then I started reading it and I realized, "Oh, man, this is awesome! What a great idea!"

Woman Wins $10,000 For Reading Fine Print of Terms and Conditions of Travel Insurance Policy
Georgia high school teacher Donelan Andrews won a $10,000 reward after she closely read the terms and conditions that came with a travel insurance policy she purchased for a trip to England. Squaremouth, a Florida insurance company, had inserted language promising a reward to the first person who emailed the company. NPR reports: "We understand most customers don't actually read contracts or documentation when buying something, but we know the importance of doing so," the company said. "We created the top-secret Pays to Read campaign in an effort to highlight the importance of reading policy docum...
