Probably has to do with how you think about numbers. It's not easy for everyone to remember phone numbers. Phone numbers are grouped into parts. You have an area code, then three digits, then four digits. You might have an association in your head for area codes. I know when I think of a friend I think of where they grew up and then I remember the area code, then I just have to remember 7 digits. From what I read about memory techniques, it's easier to remember if you have an image or association. You could do something like, assign a person, place, and action to each digit. Then in three digit groupings, if you have a number like 517, you could say 5 is the person 'Santa', 1 is the location 'the zoo' and 7 is 'eating a cake' and then you'd remember that image and be able to get the number back from your mapping. There are lots of tricks like this for names, numbers, etc. I think people probably subconsciously develop some sort of less complicated representations and certain things ar...

You're also choosing the sequence. There is a finite number of sequences but those are really big numbers. You can easily choose a sequence of numbers no one has chosen before. I think that counts as creating something new. I mean... you don't get to decide which numbers exist, but you can choose which ones to run.

There is software developed at Stanford that will identify objects in pictures automatically and I could use it to generate captions and relate pictures to both text posts and image posts. I'm looking into how to get my hands on this code.

How Hackers Can Use Pop Songs To 'Watch' You
Forget your classic listening device: Researchers at the University of Washington have demonstrated that phones, smart TVs, Amazon Echo-like assistants, and other devices equipped with speakers and microphones could be used by hackers as clandestine sonar "bugs" capable of tracking your location in a room. Their system, called CovertBand, emits high-pitched sonar signals hidden within popular songs -- their examples include songs by Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake -- then records them with the machine's microphone to detect people's activities. Certainly the Matrix movies represent one of the most successful recent attempts to bring philosophical ideas to the general public, although many will confess to be ignorant of the central thesis of the movies and are therefore also dissatisfied with them. This is understandable, since the Wachowski Brothers may not be attempting to convey a definitive thesis, but also because one needs an extensive philosophical background to grasp the ideas and debates that are conveyed in the movies. A bill to amend Japan's Banking Act has finally come to fruition, recognizing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as legal tender. The bill has far-reaching repercussions for the digital currency world as well as the way that cryptocurrencies can be traded and exchanged. The Banking Act was modified after a long process of debate and dialog which saw proponents of digital currencies arguing on their behalf. Now, after months of discussion, the bill has come into effect as of the beginning of April. the old captchas where you typed in strange words were part of a larger book translation scheme. you were typing in what you thought these physical books words were and it compared them to their data or other peoples data to decipher them in pieces. i thought this was for google books but not sure
