Swimming and athletics are the big gigs at the Olympic games. Cycling and rowing are pretty big for Britain, but globally, the two big things are athletics and swimming. |
Mark Haddon |
I have very fond memories of swimming in Walden Pond when we lived in Boston. You'd swim past a log and see all these turtles sunning themselves. Slightly disturbing if you thought about how many more were swimming around your toes, but also rather wonderful. |

The first time I got pregnant, I was a young girl - I was 17 years old. Although I knew right away that I wanted to keep my child, being a pregnant teen was an extremely scary experience for me. Luckily, my family and friends were very supportive and were there for me every step of the way. |
Carl Sandburg |
Ordering a man to write a poem is like commanding a pregnant woman to give birth to a red-headed child. |
Ken Calvert |
The measure would set criminal penalties, the same as those that would apply if harm or death happened to the pregnant woman, for those who harm a fetus. |
Theodor Adorno |
The human is indissolubly linked with imitation: a human being only becomes human at all by imitating other human beings. |
Audrey Hepburn |
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years. |
Marcus Garvey |
A reading man and woman is a ready man and woman, but a writing man and woman is exact. |
Colbie Caillat |
I love to exercise outside in the fresh air and sun: hiking, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and jogging. |

What does kissing really mean to me? To me, if you feel, when you kiss a girl, that certain feeling of all those dolphins, like, swimming through your blood stream, and you get those good tingles inside your stomach, I don't think there's any better feeling. |

I had a dream that there was some machine that let you see things from another person's perspective. Someone used it on a woman and didn't know that the woman was pregnant. They saw the perspective of the baby and realized that the baby was dying. It was really bizarre and the baby died.

I had a really weird dream. I think I was in a cab with a friend and we were driving around this city where almost everything was under construction. We got out of the cab and my friend disappeared and I ended up in a park standing around a group of people who was listening to someone speak. A pack of wolves walked by in the distance and one ran up to me and hit my hand with his head as if to greet me or something. I walked toward the wolves and the next thing I remember is I was a woman wandering around this apartment trying to avoid people and there was a tiny fairy person about the size of my hand that I was carrying around. Not sure if I was also a fairy that just wasn't small or if I was human.

What are the most important parts of human knowledge from a perspective of all of human history? Probably fire, maybe symbols?

"Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent the charming thing we call 'society'. Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home."

"If we send a human to a star millions of light years away by the time we get there a human would quite possibly already be there. This is due to technology advancing in the far future allowing us to travel faster than we can today..."

I think religion is like a lifeboat floating in the ocean. If it's the thing you know, it is overwhelming to think about leaving it and seeing what else is out there. The ocean is mysterious and full of wonderful interesting unknowns. Swimming takes effort, but without it, all you see is the lifeboat and the surface.

When I was really little I had a very memorable dream. I was being chased up a cartoon steamboat by a Barney-looking-type. By the way, I was princess peach in my dream. I ended up jumping off the steamboat and swimming to some island, but I think I woke up before getting to the island because I don't remember anything interesting after that.

Snakes are pretty cool. Also "Sometimes the snake can be found swimming in the water which is also reflective of emotions that you are suppressing."
So, like, are you repressing concerns regarding your eyesight and/or impending doom related to said eyesight? I feel like it might be related to anxieties about your polarized sunglasses? Seems super legit.
I should switch to a Psychology Ph.D.
