Interaction becomes so competitive. People mock each other like that is humor when it's really a way to lessen the intensity of the effect a person has on you. When someone reaches out, anything less than an equal return is a blow to your ego's importance. The more people recognize you, the less you need to try and win alliances so you can reject people who make you feel less sexy.

Probably has to do with how you think about numbers. It's not easy for everyone to remember phone numbers. Phone numbers are grouped into parts. You have an area code, then three digits, then four digits. You might have an association in your head for area codes. I know when I think of a friend I think of where they grew up and then I remember the area code, then I just have to remember 7 digits. From what I read about memory techniques, it's easier to remember if you have an image or association. You could do something like, assign a person, place, and action to each digit. Then in three digit groupings, if you have a number like 517, you could say 5 is the person 'Santa', 1 is the location 'the zoo' and 7 is 'eating a cake' and then you'd remember that image and be able to get the number back from your mapping. I had a dream that I was at some sort of wedding in a country I didn't recognize. They had all these strange traditions that I was trying to figure out and participate in but I had no idea what I was doing. Everyone was wearing a blue, red, or tan colored robe. I was wearing a tan one and people were in groups. I was supposed to be in a group but I couldn't figure out which one. I had some realization that my group must have left already. I didn't know where they were going but I ran out of this room and there was a big glass elevator. There was a guy frantically pointing at the patterns on the tile floor and rambling about the elevator. Three people stood in front of the elevator, me and two women. One women saw this guy and stepped back and the other woman and I got on the elevator. It went down nearly to the bottom and then started moving up again and suddenly fell off the cables and crashed two or three stories below. I crawled out of what was left of the elevator covered in blood...

I had a dream that all these photos and videos from the Ariana Grande concert were surfacing, and the big news everyone was talking about was that, in all these photos and videos where terrible things were happening, Ariana Grande was smiling and laughing.

Seeing all these new captchas - click on all the DOGS. It doesn't seem at all unreasonable to make a bot that recognizes those, googles dogs to build a training set, learns to recognize dogs, and then passes the captcha, right? I can't imagine that would take more than like 2-3 hours and then it could recognize dogs forever.

I keep having weird dreams and thinking I'll remember them but then when I get out of bed I can't remember. I used to try to say them out loud because I think it helps you commit it to memory but I never feel like doing it and for some reason think I'll remember them anyway.

if i were to pass, i want people to remember how hard and tenaciously ive attempted to follow my dreams. because that alone can change their lives. so to be a constant reminder to people that you gotta keep working, doing what you love, and building possibilities it is satisfying knowing how your actually altering the direction people are taking their lives. (to something better and more true, hopefully)
