Arthur Schopenhauer |
They tell us that suicide is the greatest piece of cowardice... that suicide is wrong; when it is quite obvious that there is nothing in the world to which every man has a more unassailable title than to his own life and person. |
Abba Eban |
One of the chief tasks of any dialogue with the Gentile world is to prove that the distinction between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism is not a distinction at all. |
Dinesh D'Souza |
O.K., if the desire to knock America off its pedestal, to redistribute American income to other countries, to shrink America's footprint in the world, makes you anti-American, then Obama is in fact anti-American. |
Ken Ham |
Anti-Christian ideology has permeated much of the secular news media, and so often Biblical Christians are mocked, misrepresented or attacked for what they believe by anti-Christian agenda driven reporters. |
Marianne Faithfull |
I come from a very left wing Socialist family, anti-war and anti-empire. |
Noah Feldman |
For Mitt Romney, the complex question of anti-Mormon bias boils down to the practical matter of how he can make it go away. Facing a traditional American anti-Catholicism, John F. Kennedy gave a speech during the 1960 presidential campaign declaring his private religion irrelevant to his qualifications for public office. |
Stephen Hadley |
Let's remember that the revolution in Tahrir Square was not anti-American, it was not anti-Israeli, it was for democracy and freedom. That's a good thing. |
Afrika Bambaataa |
All music is dance music. But when people think of dance music, they think of techno or just house. Anything you can dance to is dance music. I don't care if it's classical, funk, salsa, reggae, calypso; it's all dance music. |
David Lynch |
Music as background to me becomes like a mosquito, an insect. In the studio we have big speakers, and to me that's the way music should be listened to. When I listen to music, I want to just listen to music. |
Cesare Pavese |
No one ever lacks a good reason for suicide. |

What's the deal with Christmas music? People should play music for all of the holidays equally. Like, why aren't they playing Halloween music or Thanksgiving music? #everybodydeservestobeloved #endholidaydiscrimination

"Today mother died. Or maybe yesterday; I can't be sure." This alludes to his claim that life is engrossed by the absurd. He believed that the absurd – life being void of meaning, or man's inability to know that meaning if it were to exist – was something that man should embrace. He argued that this crisis of self could cause a man to commit "philosophical suicide"; choosing to believe in external sources that give life (what he would describe as false) meaning. He argued that religion was the main culprit. If a man chose to believe in religion – that the meaning of life was to ascend to heaven, or some similar afterlife, that he committed philosophical suicide by trying to escape the absurd.

I grew up with a tape of Halloween music filled with such classics as The Monster Mash, Ghostbusters, I Put A Spell on You, Purple People Eater, Adams Family etc. Thanksgiving music though I'm admittedly less familiar with.

I feel like I used to use music-induced mania to write code. That doesn't sound like a real thing but there were for sure kinds of music that were new to me that helped me code. All my music feels old and predictable now. It does not give the same effect.

i find myself listening to the same stuff forever and not taking in new sounds as much as i used to. its a much slower process for music to enter my life.
i used to use bassdrive.com 's drum and bass station to code too. independent internet radio stations are good for new music that people dont know

That little black dress is such a hot mess full of youth, beauty, and rage. Tattered old shoes, dancing the blues, just trading her troubles away.
She'll give you her hand, make you feel like a real woman or man, ...

okay so like the epilogue music for fmab composed by akira senju is in fact the best, very best piece that captures the full character of the music throughout the show, and really feels like you're looking back to see how far you've come to overcome a life-or-death problem and saved the world.
it's those crescendos you just can't stop. the recapitulating motif that once accompanied a grieving soul, now with sunrays filling the spaces between the shadows

If you want to read something dark, read the text messages of a teenage girl who convinced a kid to kill himself: https://htv-prod-media.s3.amazonaws.com/files/carter-exhibit-30-1497356322.pdf
She keeps texting him for two months after he died. She planned out his suicide and told him what to do. But she also loves him? I have no idea what this girl was thinking.
