I grew up with a tape of Halloween music filled with such classics as The Monster Mash, Ghostbusters, I Put A Spell on You, Purple People Eater, Adams Family etc. Thanksgiving music though I'm admittedly less familiar with. |

I went through this phase where I thought pink and purple matched. To dance class, I'd wear purple tights and pink leg warmers and paint my shoes purple. It was really odd. |
William Eggleston |
Black-and-white photography, which I was doing in the very early days, was essentially called art photography and usually consisted of landscapes by people like Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. But photographs by people like Adams didn't interest me. |

I played with so many musicians and some of the musicians would have something I want. I steal a lot of them, and I mash it up, I mash it up into my chords. |

I was 23 when I learned how to cook; I grew up around the same time. It was precisely then that Thanksgiving started to mean something more. Growing up, Christmas was always about me, and eventually you, when I finally started to enjoy the giving part. But Thanksgiving is always about us. |

Like at Halloween: I knew I'd arrived when I saw people dressing up on Halloween as my character. |

The great thing about candy is that it can't be spoiled by the adult world. Candy is innocent. And all Halloween candy pales next to candy corn, if only because candy corn used to appear, like the Great Pumpkin, solely on Halloween. |

Something I didn't even know was on my bucket list has been achieved. I have cooked Thanksgiving dinner with Martha Stewart. I vow to follow the gospel of her teachings and do my very best in the remarkably less glamorous kitchen of my own home... without the luxury of magically appearing prep bowls filled by a staff of sous chefs. |
Simone de Beauvoir |
Sex pleasure in woman is a kind of magic spell; it demands complete abandon; if words or movements oppose the magic of caresses, the spell is broken. |
Henry Miller |
One can be absolutely truthful and sincere even though admittedly the most outrageous liar. Fiction and invention are of the very fabric of life. |
Danny Elfman |
I really liked doing a number of the projects and directors, and etc., etc., I knew about half-way through that I would never be doing that again. It's just not me. I really am happy as a part-time film composer, not a full-time film composer. |

What's the deal with Christmas music? People should play music for all of the holidays equally. Like, why aren't they playing Halloween music or Thanksgiving music? #everybodydeservestobeloved #endholidaydiscrimination

i find myself listening to the same stuff forever and not taking in new sounds as much as i used to. its a much slower process for music to enter my life.
i used to use bassdrive.com 's drum and bass station to code too. independent internet radio stations are good for new music that people dont know

Spotify Data Shows How Music Preferences Change With Latitude
A paper in Nature Human Behaviour this week drew on the listening data of nearly a million Spotify listeners from around the world, describing the daily and seasonal variations in how people listen. The researchers suggest that the results point to a universal human habit that probably sounds familiar: choosing your music to both match and change your mood. Ars Technica reports: The researchers took data from listeners in 51 countries, making sure that their samples matched the demographics of each country but otherwise selecting users randomly. Using Spotify-provided data on the music, they tracked a variable they called music...

I feel like I used to use music-induced mania to write code. That doesn't sound like a real thing but there were for sure kinds of music that were new to me that helped me code. All my music feels old and predictable now. It does not give the same effect.

That little black dress is such a hot mess full of youth, beauty, and rage. Tattered old shoes, dancing the blues, just trading her troubles away.
She'll give you her hand, make you feel like a real woman or man, ...

okay so like the epilogue music for fmab composed by akira senju is in fact the best, very best piece that captures the full character of the music throughout the show, and really feels like you're looking back to see how far you've come to overcome a life-or-death problem and saved the world.
it's those crescendos you just can't stop. the recapitulating motif that once accompanied a grieving soul, now with sunrays filling the spaces between the shadows

ill respond to your question tomorrow when im not going to bed but i wanted to pop on to say that he told me god wanted him desperately to relay these messages to me. and that i have an important role with the youth and also that I had a decision to make soon to live with the truth or forever live in ignorance. the stuff with the youth resonated 100& with my music and again, it just clicked. perhaps my music is a conduit of god to share the message. and empower us because everything is before us we just need to ask.
