Am I lazy, or are my standards just too high? |

Out of the past come the standards for judging the present; standards in turn to be shaped by the practice of present-day dramatists into broader standards for the next generation. |
Mark Hamill |
I debated in high school! If you told things that weren't true or just made things out of whole cloth, you were penalized. It's too bad they don't apply the same standards to presidential candidates as they do to high school students. |
Jon Favreau |
I'm a very lazy person by nature. I have to be really engaged, and then I go straight from lazy to obsessive. I couldn't study chemistry, but I could memorize all the books for Dungeons and Dragons. It was ridiculous. The trick is to find what I like to do. |
Irving Babbitt |
If we are to have such a discipline we must have standards, and to get our standards under existing conditions we must have criticism. |
Irving Babbitt |
Furthermore, America suffers not only from a lack of standards, but also not infrequently from a confusion or an inversion of standards. |
Michelle Bachelet |
The respect for human rights is nowadays not so much a matter of having international standards, but rather questions of compliance with those standards. |
Scott Bakula |
By all standards, except for 'Star Trek' standards, 98 episodes of any television show is a wildly successful run. |
Meg Cabot |
I was too lazy to start a whole new story, so I just stuck a princess into the story I was working on... and The Princess Diaries was born! |
Janis Ian |
I think one of the reasons musicians keep doing what they do and writers keep doing what they do, is that we're totally unsuited for anything else. And I for one am much too lazy. |
Anthony J. D'Angelo |
Set high standards and few limitations for yourself. |

I am tired and hungry but I'm too lazy to get out of bed.

Yes, but also that even if you strip away the expectations of society there are other specific things to do. We just get a lot of motivation from the recognition of others which won't be there as much if you are rejecting standards.

You're probably surrounded by lazy people and mistaking your love for a defect... yea.

My favorite is his stuff about healthy marriages because it came out posthumously that he was secretly really into extramarital forces. I regret being to lazy to make a good physics pun.

When I've been high for weeks at a time I start struggling with freestyling and annunciation but even when I stop getting high at the beginning of my days and continue smoking in large quantities at night, my mind still functions well. Obviously you will get lost if you are always high unless you are very firmly planted but for someone like me, regardless of how strong my values are, I am involved in a few too many different interests and weed definitely gets me stuck in between these loves. Between music, marketing, theosophy, and just chillin, I got a lot on my plate and remaining grounded is important. There is a place for everything, or to quote myself, "theres a time to work and a time to blow that purple"

California DMV Changes Rules To Allow Testing and Use of Fully Autonomous Vehicles msmash 3 hours ago 35 The California Department of Motor Vehicles is changing its rules to allow companies to test autonomous vehicles without a driver behind the wheel -- and to let the public use autonomous vehicles. From a report: The DMV released a revised version of its regulations and has started a 15-day public comment period, ending October 25, 2017. California law requires the DMV to work on regulations to cover testing and public use of autonomous vehicles, and the regulator said that this is the first step. "We are excited to take the next step in furthering the development of this potentially life-saving technology in California," the state's Transportation Secretary, Brian Kelly, said in a stat...

When a rich man doesn’t want to work
He’s a bon vivant, yes, he’s a bon vivant
But when a poor man doesn’t want to work
He’s a loafer, he’s a lounger
He’s a lazy good for nothing, he’s a jerk

To-day we rather intended to write an essay on Laziness, but were too indolent to do so.
The sort of thing we had in mind to write would have been exceedingly persuasive. We intended to discourse a little in favour of a greater appreciation of Indolence as a benign factor in human affairs.
It is our observation that every time we get into trouble it is due to not having been lazy enough. Unhappily, we were born with a certain fund of energy. We have been hustling about for a number of years now, and it doesn?t seem to get us anything but tribulation. Henceforward we are going to make a dete...

so our 8 person team handles the highest paying windows customers at our company. and most of them are the highest paying customers we have.
they pay us substantially below industry standards. everyone stood up for themselves and demanded higher raises this year. management said NO to everyone more or less. (Or offered almost nothing)
Now 2 people left for Amazon. 1 Person just got a job in Flint. 1 just got a job at the state. 1 just got another job offer. (Most offers are about double what we get paid) ...
