You're probably surrounded by lazy people and mistaking your love for a defect... yea. |

Jon Favreau |
I'm a very lazy person by nature. I have to be really engaged, and then I go straight from lazy to obsessive. I couldn't study chemistry, but I could memorize all the books for Dungeons and Dragons. It was ridiculous. The trick is to find what I like to do. |
Eden Ahbez |
The earth is my altar, the sky is my dome, mind is my garden, the heart is my home and I'm always at home - yea, I'm always at Om. |
John Calvin |
I consider looseness with words no less of a defect than looseness of the bowels. |
L. Sprague de Camp |
There is no mistaking the dismay on the face of a writer who has just heard that his brain child is a deformed idiot. |
Zach Galifianakis |
Hollywood's built on insecurity. People are trying to prove things. And I probably have that. I probably do. Probably guilty of it, in a way. |
Marina Abramovic |
I used to have a recurring dream where I was at a party in a country house, surrounded by the same people each evening. Everyone would be singing and dancing and after a while I came to know the people; though, of course, they never really existed. |
Jennie Garth |
Being a lazy parent and letting your kid watch stuff that's not appropriate for their age is one of the bigger mistakes you can make. |
Ray Bradbury |
Love. Fall in love and stay in love. Write only what you love, and love what you write. The key word is love. You have to get up in the morning and write something you love, something to live for. |
Diane Farr |
I look a little bit like Barbie and talk a little bit like Ken. It's easier for me to sit in the middle of the boys' club than to be surrounded by people concerned about getting their hair and nails done. |
Dolly Parton |
I say, 'Yeah, Taylor Swift.' I think she is a smart, beautiful girl. I think she's making all the right moves. She's got a good head on her shoulders. She's surrounded with wonderful people. Her songs are great. She keeps herself anchored. She knows who she is, and she's living and standing by that. |

Something that is hard to reconcile is the experience of impersonal and personal love. Nature is very impersonal, and affection is very personal. I think often we confuse affection with love. We create exclusive relationships with others that often get overrided by our natural instincts- maybe a loving relationship is sabotaged bc someone ?fitter? in many ways came along and appealed to you as an animal. And then we say ?I thought we loved each other!? People use affection to justify all sorts of sacrifices and nature to justify all sorts of cruelty. Still, the world goes round and love exists on both a personal and impersonal level. You love your sister and you love the atoms which make up your sister which also make up the table in your kitchen and your worst enemy. And you experience that love by the same source that also allows you to evaluate which people and activities are worth your energy and which you reject. I don?t think reality is a matter of love vs. nature- - I don?t thi...

i think i get what you're saying. so the insecurity is that love vs nature causes differences in what you want and what you think you want, or should want?

Paul's not interested in helping anyone understand what pu-erh is or what it really means. “I'd be thrilled for someone else to take that up,” he says. The innate vitality of the tea matters to him far more than the fluttering factual details we're trained to focus on as consumers. Drill too far down into that stuff, and soon “you're carrying around so much baggage that you're more focused on what something should be than what it actually is.
“I think people think about this stuff too much,” Paul goes on. “It's like trying to think about sex while you're having sex—can't you just enjoy the sex? If you ever try to describe a high to someone, the words always fall short.”

honestly one of my biggest takeaways from the past year is saying no to people and not letting people take advantage of my generosity. youre absolutely right, not everyone EARNS respect.

Today I learned the term "body double" in ADHD contexts. It's a person who is nearby when you gotta do your work so you're less likely to forget what you're supposed to be doing and wander off to do something else.
Been using this strategy for a long time. Lots of people probs do that!

To-day we rather intended to write an essay on Laziness, but were too indolent to do so.
The sort of thing we had in mind to write would have been exceedingly persuasive. We intended to discourse a little in favour of a greater appreciation of Indolence as a benign factor in human affairs.
It is our observation that every time we get into trouble it is due to not having been lazy enough. Unhappily, we were born with a certain fund of energy. We have been hustling about for a number of years now, and it doesn?t seem to get us anything but tribulation. Henceforward we are going to make a dete...

if i were to pass, i want people to remember how hard and tenaciously ive attempted to follow my dreams. because that alone can change their lives. so to be a constant reminder to people that you gotta keep working, doing what you love, and building possibilities it is satisfying knowing how your actually altering the direction people are taking their lives. (to something better and more true, hopefully)
