My sense of humor involves pretending to have strong opinions about things. |

William James |
Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing. |
Robert Anton Wilson |
All phenomena are real in some sense, unreal in some sense, meaningless in some sense, real and meaningless in some sense, unreal and meaningless in some sense, and real and unreal and meaningless in some sense. |
Hayley Atwell |
I think American guys tend to be a bit more forward, a bit more chatty and open than the Brits. The Brits seem to have a darker sense of humor, though I have met some Americans who have adopted bits of the British dry sense of humor as well. |
Edy Ganem |
I like guys who have a plan or a dream. A good sense of humor is also a must. I can be weird with my humor and say things that are random. You need to understand that I'm really goofy and go with it. |
Vera Farmiga |
I don't have a caustic sense of humor. What I find funny, that humor comes from a much gentler place. |
Jonathan Haidt |
In accounts of men in battle, there is an incredible adrenaline rush from group-versus-group conflict. The fervor and passion of partisans is clearly rewarding; and if it's rewarding, it involves dopamine; and if it involves dopamine, then it is potentially addictive. |
Nicolas Cage |
I'll speak for myself, but there's a lot of humor to be found in sarcasm and darkness. You talk to any paramedic, they survive by developing a pretty off-kilter sense of humor. |
Alexis de Tocqueville |
In the United States, the majority undertakes to supply a multitude of ready-made opinions for the use of individuals, who are thus relieved from the necessity of forming opinions of their own. |
Jensen Ackles |
There are just certain things that turn my head. It may be a girl's sense of humor, it may be her wit, or her belief system; it could be a lot of different things. |
Coco Chanel |
Women must tell men always that they are the strong ones. They are the big, the strong, the wonderful. In truth, women are the strong ones. It is just my opinion, I am not a professor. |

Sounds good to me. Along the lines of being grounded in a relative sense, I think you can develop notions of limitations which are really non-constructive. I think if you are ungrounded or grounded in a non-relative sense it doesn't feel that way. Or, it is more apparent that those limits don't exist. It's hard to be aware of things...

Pretty sure it's just that the part of my brain that tells me which things make sense and obey the laws of physics don't always activate when I'm sleeping and thinking about buildings.

It is an experience that our mind presents for us and the dictation of time by our minds rules everyday life. So in a sense you are right, but in another sense I'm not sure you understand what the term "real" means.

A study on facebook conversations found they were more likely to go awry when one person shares something intended to be an opinion but another person believes it was intended or believed by the speaker to be a fact.
The appeal to expert opinion is often a fallacy. When people with higher academic degrees say their opinions, because they are perceived experts, the intention of opinion might be perceived as intention to share a fact. Facts are useful for persuasion, and when we hear them we might feel someone is attempting to persuade us.
Seems like something people with perceived expertise...

I had one dream where I was on a beach or a field or maybe it was both but I was flying around on some kind of gliding machine that caught a strong breeze. It didn't have a motor or anything so it hit the ground eventually and there were some people there and they invited us to go see their cabin and then the one guy turned out to just be completely crazy. Like you could not predict anything he was about to do. He might try to bake you a cake one second and kill you the next. It was disturbing and we tried to get away as fast as we could and he said he would follow us and come see us later. There was a woman there with him who was trying to tell him to stop doing things all the time but it was so mind-shatteringly unpredictable. Then I had some other dream that I was dressed as a doctor and trying to avoid this person that wanted to ask me out.

Emoji Are Showing Up in Court Cases Exponentially, and Courts Aren't Prepared
Bay Area prosecutors were trying to prove that a man arrested during a prostitution sting was guilty of pimping charges, and among the evidence was a series of Instagram DMs (direct messages) he'd allegedly sent to a woman. One read: "Teamwork make the dream work" with high heels and money bag emoji placed at the end. Prosecutors said the message implied a working relationship between the two of them. The defendant said it could mean he was trying to strike up a romantic relationship. Who was right?

While the question of human freedom in the metaphysical sense loses interest to the absurd man, he gains freedom in a very concrete sense: no longer bound by hope for a better future or eternity, without a need to pursue life's purpose or to create meaning, "he enjoys a freedom with regard to common rules".

Interaction becomes so competitive. People mock each other like that is humor when it's really a way to lessen the intensity of the effect a person has on you. When someone reaches out, anything less than an equal return is a blow to your ego's importance. The more people recognize you, the less you need to try and win alliances so you can reject people who make you feel less sexy.
