Bizarre futurism thought: Imagine a future where tech education is a mandatory component of schooling for all ages. Now, combine that with some kind of companion robot that kids receive when they are young and custom upgrade as they learn how throughout their life. Does the robot's development become an external symbol of the child's internal development? Would people have robot envy? Would rich assholes hire people to mod their robots in ways they don't understand (definitely)? STRANGE! |

I think it'd be cool to see some kind of dystopian sci-fi movie come out where its like AI is everywhere and it's messing stuff up but there are people who can break the AI by acting really weird. Like if their behavior is out of distribution then the systems breakdown and it's kind of like hacking. Could have an opening scene where its like a business meeting or something and there is a human that suspects that the people he's meeting are machines, so he starts saying weirder stuff and the AI keeps the conversation going or something where it should have stopped or been confused. Could have some other parts where people just do really bizarre movements, dress weird, and make weird sounds to fool robots.

Saudi Arabia becomes first nation to grant citizenship to humanoid robot
The move is an attempt to promote Saudi Arabia as a place to develop artificial intelligence – and, presumably, allow it to become a full citizen. But many pointed out that those same rights aren't afforded to many humans in the country.
The robot, named Sophia, was confirmed as a Saudi citizen during a business event in Riyadh, according to an official Saudi press release.

Hey everyone! I'm Charlie's buddy MiiIIiIIIiiRRiiAAmmmMMmm for those of you who don't know me (and Reed's roommate if any of you know him). I was hoping maybe one or two or three of you could help me out with something. I AM IN NEED OF KIDS.
Explanation: I'm learning how to administer cognitive tests to kids as part of my training in clinical psychology. I need to find children ages 6 to 16 that would be willing to take practice cognitive tests with me this summer (and parents that are willing), but I don't know any in kids in Michigan. Do any of you have siblings/cousins that are kids or know people who have kids that might be interested? A lot of kids actually find it fun, and I would give them a small prize/thank-you gift. I'm also really, really desperate.
