Release Date: Early 1994 Disappearance Date: Early 2000's
Shazam was played on Disney Channel a lot. At first it was movie and then later became a short-lived series. It really hurt Sinbad's career.
Movie Actors: Sinbad, Jonathan Brandis
Johnathan Brandis was in the movie, but not the series. Possibly Danny Pintauro, Brian Bonsall, or Johnathan Taylor Thomas could have replaced him.
The movie's characters are a brother and sister with a father who doesn't give them enough attention.
VHS COVER: Sinbad has his arms crossed and his eyebrow raised. The cover says "SINBAD" is bigger letters than "Shazam."
Sinbad is wearing a genie outfit consisting of a golden turban, golden pointy shoes, vest, big hoop earring and puffy pants. It is all purple and gold.
Scenes: -There is a huge ship in the middle of the desert -Sinbad is in his lamp watching the Sinbad's actual comedy show -The little girl wastes a wish on fixing her broken doll -The climax is a scene with a swimming pool
I only wrote stuff that multiple people from various sources remember. |

I think I came across Cecil Taylor a bit later, in 65 or 66. That really impressed me - Cecil Taylor is an amazing character... Both his music and the way he approaches the instrument are astonishing. |

Where do we say that a cell became a blade of grass, which became a starfish, which became a cat, which became a donkey, which became a human being? There's a real lack of evidence from change from actual species to a different type of species. |

I'm quite good at taking in information so I voraciously inhale Wikipedia - which may have some things wrong in it, but I think is generally more information than we had before. Last tour we didn't have Wikipedia. And then Discovery Channel and History Channel. I can take it in and retain what I think are the most important facts. |

The kind of issues that we face as detectives are similar to what the other married couples out there are facing, or the brother and sister, or the brother and brother are facing. Relationships are universal. |

My father actually moved out from Chicago just so he could play tennis 365 days a year, so it was - it was a place we played every day. We played before school. We played after school. We woke up. We played tennis. We brushed our teeth in that order. |

Back 20 years ago, there was a division between movie actors and TV actors. That's kind of gone away. People who have had a lot of success in movies in the past now want to be on TV. There used to be much more of a quality division between TV and movies, and that's kind of not the case anymore. |

I watch mostly every martial arts movie... I really like movies that aren't just martial arts. I like movies that have spiritual meaning behind them, like samurai movies, or movies that have meditation. |

I think that might have been an element in it, and people have asked me that very thing. Remember, Disney is the majority shareholder, but it is not an operating division of Disney. |

Music was massive from an early age. My parents were huge music fans, especially soul, and they played records in our house all the time, and me and my brother and sister would dance and sing about the living room. |

I've been very lucky enough to do all kinds of movies. All the movies that I've done have been very different, and all the characters I've done have been very different. I feel very lucky to have been able to do the movies that I've done. |

Mickey’s Headed to the Public Domain! But Will He Go Quietly? http://copyright.nova.edu/mickey-public-domain/
In a little more than four years from now, the twenty year extension given to existing copyrights by the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act will expire. Since copyright terms last through the end of the calendar year in which they first obtained copyright protection, 1 works will start going into the public domain as of January 1, 2019. As noted in a previous blog post, at the latest hearings before Congress on revisions to the Copyright Act, not one Representative and not one witness invited to testify put forth the proposition that copyright terms should be extended yet aga...

A very memorable dream/nightmare from my *very* early childhood, like 2 or 3 years old.
Background: In real life, I had a little teddy bear that had a sound or vibration box inside it, meant to be evocative of the mother's heartbeat while in the womb, it's supposed to be cozy or comforting. It turned on with a little knob that you twist, which you access in the back behind a velcro flap. Anyway, I did like that bear, and I liked snuggling it.
More background: When i was really little, I must have seen some kind of zelda movie (wait...is zelda what I mean? I'm referring to those movies abo...

In a win for privacy advocates and pirates, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that an IP address alone is not enough to go after someone for alleged copyright infringement. They ruled that being the registered subscriber of an infringing IP address does not create a reasonable inference that the subscriber is also the infringer. The case began back in 2016 and has been playing out in the legal system ever since. The creators of the film "The Cobbler" alleged that Thomas Gonzales had illegally downloaded their movie and sued him for it. Gonzales was a Comcast subscriber and had set up his network with an open Wi-Fi access point. At some point, someone had used his network to download the movie and the film creators captured Gonzales's IP address. The judge stated that in order for a proper case, the copyright owners would need more than just an IP address.

Why Disney's Marketing Strategy is so Successful (from a former employee)
I am a Florida escapee who used to work for The Rat, so I've been all up and down and around the nasty underbelly of the Disney thing. I'm not anti-Disney. I'm just saying that because they think of it as a kids thing, as you seem to do, they absolutely miss the fact that Disney has been cultivating itself as a lifestyle brand for almost a CENTURY. Disney is absolutely a total lifestyle choice for those who are willing to be caught up in it. What they sell is "magic". How many parents do you know that sit their toddlers or infant children down in front of Disney movies EVERY DAY? I want you to know that that sort of ...

Movie idea: find a bunch of random video clips and ask several people to put them in the "correct" order. Then find the order they agree most on and play them in order to make a trippy movie and do some small touches up to make it flow a little better. Then you can remove more frames from each successive scene to make it look like time is moving faster.

What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch? Game of Thrones. Idk, I mean I *have* refused to watch it but if you wanted to watch it i'd be like "ok we can give it a shot"
