A very memorable dream/nightmare from my *very* early childhood, like 2 or 3 years old.
Background: In real life, I had a little teddy bear that had a sound or vibration box inside it, meant to be evocative of the mother's heartbeat while in the womb, it's supposed to be cozy or comforting. It turned on with a little knob that you twist, which you access in the back behind a velcro flap. Anyway, I did like that bear, and I liked snuggling it.
More background: When i was really little, I must have seen some kind of zelda movie (wait...is zelda what I mean? I'm referring to those movies about the giant dinosaur monster marching through a big city and killing people) or was in the other room while the adults were watching and I must have caught a glimpse of it. I'm still not into the dream yet, but side note, just remember, I have an early memory of being at my aunt's house and my cousins were teens or something, and I think there were baby zeldas (that is not the name of the monster??? wtf am I talking about?? It's not king kong lol, but king kong vibes. I can't find it out because I only get zelda the video game franchise info in my queries. I need new queries.), like little baby dinosaur monster things, and I think they were being attacked, and I said "oh no, poor babies!" and everyone laughed at me, I was like 3. So maybe the dream was after that.
Dream: So I was sleeping with my teddy bear with the heartbeat turned on. In my dream, the heartbeat sounds were from a big scary monster marching around the city, stomping on buildings and cars and what not, causing terror in the city. I don't remember if the monster was like the dinosaur monster or like my actual teddy bear that had grown to be the size of like a 20-story building. |

Well, the first thing that clued me in to the fact that there was something really scary about breast cancer, way beyond the thought of dying, was coming across an ad in the newspaper for pink breast cancer teddy bears. I am not that afraid of dying, but I am terrified of dying with a pink teddy bear under my arm. |

I hate modern car radios. In my car, I don't even have a push-button radio. It's just got a dial and two knobs. Just AM. One knob makes it louder, and one knob changes the station. When you're driving, that's all I want. |

It's just very homey in Ireland. It's very comforting and comfortable. There's lots of fireplaces with fires. It's just really cozy. |

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. |

Yeah, I like causing trouble. It's the teddy boy in me. I used to be a teddy boy. Feeling slightly inferior and wanting to cause a bit of bother and get some action going on in the room rather than get bored stiff. |

In the summer you want fresh, light and sort of quick things; in winter you want things that are comforting, so your body really tells you you want to go towards potatoes, apples, fennel, things that are warm and comforting. And loin of pork. |

I really love the EMS Vocoder 2000, which is a pretty nice little box. You put one thing in one end and another in the other end, and you're able to change vocals by the sound and do a lot - it's just got a great sound. But the thing is, it's a bit clunky, so it's kind of hard to use it. |

With big folks, either people think you look mean or it's more of a jolly Santa Claus, 'Oh, he's just a pudgy little teddy bear pillow.' |

The drama teacher that I had in high school, back in Texas, was the only teacher who didn't kick me out of his class. He turned me on to 'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.' I had picked up Dylan with 'Bringing It All Back Home,' and he turned me on to the first couple of albums, which I hadn't heard. |

Generally, you are held to a sound and that becomes your sound. That gets branded as your sound, and all the copycats start with it because the labels are looking for that sound. |

I had three dreams in a row. The two were nightmares. The first was that someone was wearing a bear costume but then I think that they started to act like a real bear and eating people which was really scary and then the second one was that one of the robots from the new zelda game was living in my backyard and wanted to break into my house. The third one was that I was in highschool again and I volunteered for some writing exercise I had to do on the board and it was kind of weird but had something to do with oranges.

Who would win in a fight a black bear or a silverback gorilla? The black bear has gingivitis and the silverback gorilla has self-esteem issues.

24 Amazon Workers Sent To Hospital After Robot Accidentally Unleashes Bear Spray
Twenty-four Amazon workers in New Jersey have been hospitalized after a robot accidentally tore a can of bear repellent spray in a warehouse, officials said. The two dozen workers were treated at five local hospitals, Robbinsville Township communications and public information officer John Nalbone told ABC News. One remains in critical condition and 30 additional workers were treated at the scene. The official investigation revealed "an automated machine accidentally punctured a 9-ounce bear repellent can, releasing concentrated Capsaican," Nalbone said. Capsaican is the major ingredient in pepper spray. The fulfillment center was given the all clear by Wednesday evening. ...

The Berenstein Bears: We Are Living in Our Own Parallel Universe When I was growing up, all through elementary school we would watch movies and read books about the Berenstein Bears. I still even remember the theme song for the TV show, mostly, which wasn't a song so much as a guy in a gruff bear voice speaking in rhyming couplets. If you don't know who the Berenstein Bears are, they were nuclear family of anthropomorphic bears who lived in a tree out in Bear Country and had family-based situational comedy and taught life lessons. And Ma Bear always wore a blue shower cap.
These bears appeared in a series of children books by the married Stan and Jan Berenstein, that later became a TV s...

Considering super positions: life & death, etc, are very disheartening in my quest to finish d=18" of pizza. Time is merely a construct my mind has rendered to simulate pizzagonal pleasure while making sense of all this stupid space dust reverberating amongst the music described by pesky cosmic background microwave radiation.

Look at the cover of Philosopher/Sorcerer's Stone. Look at the cover of Deathly Hallows. Stone has a sunset in the background. DH has a sunrise in the background. Symbolically, you'd think it should be the other way around, until you realize every end is a beginning and vice-versa. The end of the Marauders is the beginning of Harry Potter. The end of his story is a new beginning for the wizarding world. Another way to take this bit of symbolism is that the series, metaphorically, is a descent into the dark of night (Voldemort's second reign). Harry going to school in the first book means that the prophecies (etc.) about Voldemort and Harry are going to come true, soon, and so the 'day' that happened after Voldemort's first reign of terror was ending. As others have mentioned, the artwork gets progressively darker, until things are "darkest before the dawn", like in the sixth book when Death Eaters have killed Dumbledore and are actively taking over the Ministry. Finally, in DH, the lo...
