If you put all your important files on the cloud, what happens when it rains? |

Erykah Badu |
It's almost like a lot of black people in America, a lot of young black men, are born with this cloud over their heads. It's their penitentiary cloud, this philosophy we all have, that it's harder for us. |
Judy Garland |
Behind every cloud is another cloud. |
John Irving |
Your memory is a monster; you forget - it doesn't. It simply files things away. It keeps things for you, or hides things from you - and summons them to your recall with a will of its own. You think you have a memory; but it has you! |
Richard M. Nixon |
Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. Find another way. And don't pray when it rains if you don't pray when the sun shines. |
Gilbert K. Chesterton |
And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow. |
Edie Falco |
I've also learned to no longer feel guilty if I'm invited out and don't want to go. If I start to say to myself, 'What's wrong with you that you're staying in five nights in a row to watch 'Forensic Files' instead of going out with your friends' I remind myself that it's what I need to do for myself at that point. |
Satchel Paige |
Don't pray when it rains if you don't pray when the sun shines. |
Lauren Bacall |
When everything happens to you when you're so young, you're very lucky, but by the same token, you're never going to have that same feeling again. The first time anything happens to you - your first love, your first success - the second one is never the same. |
Maya Angelou |
The thing to do, it seems to me, is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else's cloud. Somebody who may not look like you. May not call God the same name you call God - if they call God at all. I may not dance your dances or speak your language. But be a blessing to somebody. That's what I think. |
Khalil Gibran |
Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens. |

Here is the kind of thing that bugs the crap out of me about Windows 8.
I just tried to open my recycling bin and delete the files. I opened the window and hit delete and the files disappeared. Then I hit ALT+F4 to close the window and I get a message that says "close the window and cancel file transfer?" What the hell?! The OS is scheduling the release of the file pointers or something which shouldn't take that long and it's telling me that it can't close the window because it's not done? But then if you hit the 'X' to close the window it works... Horrible design.

PewCrypt Ransomware Locks Users' Files and Won't Offer a Decryption Key Until - and Unless - PewDiePie's YouTube Channel Beats T-Series To Hit 100M Subscribers
The battle between PewDiePie, currently the most subscribed channel on YouTube, and T-Series, an Indian music label, continues to have strange repercussions. In recent months, as T-Series closes in on the gap to beat PewDiePie for the crown of the most subscribers on YouTube, alleged supporters of PewDiePie, in an unusual show of love, have hacked Chromecasts and printers to persuade victims to subscribe to PewDiePie's channel. Now ZDNet reports about a second strain of ransomware that is linked to PewDiePie. From the report: ...

I feel like the act of trying to understand someone else or something they've done is like dimensionality reduction. Each person has a different transform for the same space of experiences. Basically, people can't go through exactly what you went through, so to understand you they have to imagine and assess what they think are the important parts of what happened. Then if they suck at the reduction or process your experience in a space where high variance explaining components are different than yours (different things are important to them) then they will not understand or appreciate what you do.

This lady I have to work with is probably 50 and just coughin into BOTH of her hands, all over her computer / my desk and eating in between these things. And she refuses to send me all the files I need at once so every 15 minutes I have to swap a USB drive with her. I want to know how often she washes her hands.

As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that Elliot hacks and doxes the people in his life (including himself), then stores the information he finds onto CDs. He then labels them with some classic band label.
Many have wondered why he'd be doing that and how safe would that be?
The answer is that Eliot is hiding the data on those CDs. He is actually copying music to those CDs, then embedding encrypted information on them that only he can recover. So anyone who finds them will see and hear only audio and will be unable to find or retrieve the hidden information. In this way, Elliot's data on h...

Approaching People on the topic of Geoengineering
First of all, semantics are extremely important in regard to the introduction of geoengineering. The geoengineering term is related to hard science, the ?chemtrails? term has no such verifiable basis but rather leads anyone that Googles the term straight to ?conspiracy theory? and ?hoax? definitions. Use the terms ?climate engineering? and ?geoengineering?.
Spend some time researching the climate engineering/geoengineering issue. You d...
