This lady I have to work with is probably 50 and just coughin into BOTH of her hands, all over her computer / my desk and eating in between these things. And she refuses to send me all the files I need at once so every 15 minutes I have to swap a USB drive with her. I want to know how often she washes her hands. |

A team of researchers at Glasgow University have built a robot that uses machine learning to run and analyze its own chemical reaction. The system is able to figure out every reaction that's possible from a given set of starting materials. Ars Technica reports:

There is software developed at Stanford that will identify objects in pictures automatically and I could use it to generate captions and relate pictures to both text posts and image posts. I'm looking into how to get my hands on this code.
