I would sign on for projects that were meant to shoot in July, and then they would postponed and they would bleed into the following semester, and then I'd take a semester off, and then the movie would collapse. |
Kim Edwards |
After 'Memory Keeper's Daughter,' it took me a few months to shut out the world. I really had to turn off the Internet and sort of cloister myself away from the world again and sink into that psychic space to write again. |
Chief Joseph |
Let me be a free man - free to travel, free to stop, free to work. |
Maya Angelou |
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. |
Peter Ackroyd |
Oh, I just tend to believe in things when I'm writing them. For instance, when I was writing 'Doctor Dee,' I believed in magic. And when I wrote 'Hawksmoor' I believed in psychic geography. But as soon as I type the last full stop, I'm back to being a complete blank again. |
Alice Hamilton |
It was easy to present figures demonstrating the contrast between lead work in the United States under conditions of neglect and ignorance, and comparable work in England and Germany, under intelligent control. |
Conrad Hall |
My first semester, I got a D in creative writing. |

Thank you... 'Real Housewives of Atlanta,' for demonstrating a universal truth: Idiots like me will always watch idiots like you fight on TV. You will forever be in my TiVo. |
Julie Nixon Eisenhower |
It's been a strange day - a day when I thought I was on top of the world, planning my life. I planned all of my courses for the rest of the semester at Smith, and talked to my advisor about honoring in History. |
Milton Friedman |
Indeed, a major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it... gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself. |

I don't know if I want to teach next semester. I have to decide soon and I don't know if I'll get another chance before I graduate. I think it could be a good experience and I kind of think teaching is one of the most meaningful things you can do but it is very time consuming and might even slow down my graduation a little bit.

I had a dream that this girl was being tortured by this guy and the girl somehow broke free and then found a knife and started stabbing the guy and cutting him and he was bleeding everywhere and completely ignoring being stabbed and showed no indications of pain and kept saying creepy stuff and eventually he lost enough blood that he fell over and died.

Daniel Dennett answers the question of the existence of free will by saying there are different kinds of free will and the one that becomes apparent from Laplacian determinism isn't worth wanting. This is entirely dissatisfying.

It is also believed to be gifted with supernatural eyesight, capable of seeing even through solid objects. As a result, it often symbolises the unravelling of hidden truths, and the psychic power of clairvoyance.

I want more cookies, but I really don't want more cookies. My ratio of real food to cookies an ice cream is embarrassingly low if you look at my last 24 hours. Also, I skipped class for the first time this semester to work on 545, and I feel kind of bad about it. Not because I didn't have a good enough reason, but because I believe it's important to be present in class, and I wish I had budgeted my time better so I could have gone to lecture.

As long as free speech and free political association remain legal is all good tho. On the other hand, daddy is apparently determined to contort any news media to his version of fairness and his benefit of the doubt.
