Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa |
I grew up reading comic books. Super hero comic books, Archie comic books, horror comic books, you name it. |
Jeff Abbott |
No one forces me, or any other writer, to sell a film option on the books. If you don't want to run the risk that the filmmakers may adapt your work in a way you don't like, then you don't sell the option. You know when you sell it that they will have to make some changes, just because film and TV are different media than books. |
Meg Cabot |
I don't give books as gifts. Books are extremely personal, and I would hate to give someone a book that they don't like or want, because it would break my heart if they didn't read it. |
Diana Gabaldon |
I read all the time. People ask, 'Do you read while you work?' And I say, 'I better.' I take two or three years to finish one of my enormous books, and I can't go that long without reading. |
Lisa Gardner |
I still read romance, and I read suspense. I read them both. And part of it is, I like stories with strong characters, and I like stories where there's closure at the end. And I like stories where there's hope. That's a kind of empowerment. I think romance novels are very empowering, and I think suspense novels are, too. |
Alan Davies |
I'm not a great shopper but I do buy a lot of books. I'm the publishers' friend - I buy a hundred books a year and read four. |
Ferran Adria |
I don't read books regularly, because I'm always writing them. I've written 30 books, thousands of pages. |
Margaret Haddix |
There's something about each of my books that I'm really proud of, and there's something about each of my books that I cringe over. |
Max Irons |
I haven't read the 'Twilight' books. But it's everywhere so I feel like I know it. Edward, Bella, Jacob, etc. but... I haven't read them. |
Chris Abani |
I had amazing intellectual privilege as a kid. My mom taught me to read when I was two or three. When I was five, I read and wrote well enough to do my nine-year older brother's homework in exchange for chocolate or cigarettes. By the time I was 10, I was reading Orwell, Tolstoy's 'War and Peace,' and the Koran. I was reading comic books, too. |

The Berenstein Bears: We Are Living in Our Own Parallel Universe When I was growing up, all through elementary school we would watch movies and read books about the Berenstein Bears. I still even remember the theme song for the TV show, mostly, which wasn't a song so much as a guy in a gruff bear voice speaking in rhyming couplets. If you don't know who the Berenstein Bears are, they were nuclear family of anthropomorphic bears who lived in a tree out in Bear Country and had family-based situational comedy and taught life lessons. And Ma Bear always wore a blue shower cap.
These bears appeared in a series of children books by the married Stan and Jan Berenstein, that later became a TV s...

the old captchas where you typed in strange words were part of a larger book translation scheme. you were typing in what you thought these physical books words were and it compared them to their data or other peoples data to decipher them in pieces. i thought this was for google books but not sure

If you read it, it sounds like she really wants this guy to kill himself. Then at the end, you read it and its like... is she serious or is she just trying to cover it up. I don't know but she got a 2.5-year sentence.

If you want to read something dark, read the text messages of a teenage girl who convinced a kid to kill himself: https://htv-prod-media.s3.amazonaws.com/files/carter-exhibit-30-1497356322.pdf
She keeps texting him for two months after he died. She planned out his suicide and told him what to do. But she also loves him? I have no idea what this girl was thinking.

Dream from 6/20/2012:
"I was in my room and my older brother was on my bed with some guy and he handed me a dvd case filled with cds and said 'heres your cds back, your library books are probably late'. I opened the case and there were like 10 cds and I only had two so I threw the rest back at my brother and walked away. Then I was in a different house I'd never seen with my roommates from Flint and they were telling me that I should return my library books but that the library was probably closed. I didn't want to return this book on artificial intelligence so I was trying to figure out if they were going to charge me for anything. Then I was in my kitchen and I pulled my backpack out of the freezer in front of my parents and was pretending that it wasn't weird"
