I don't always wear underwear. When I'm in the heat, especially, I can't wear it. Like, if I'm wearing a flower dress, why do I have to wear underwear? |

Certainly, R.E.M. grew out of the Wuxtry record store in Athens, where Peter Buck was working and Michael Stipe came in to visit. And even their later manager, Bertis Downs, they all met and congregated at that record store. So I'm sure we wouldn't see those without the record store. |

I went to college in Connecticut, which was when I still lived at home. I worked at a video store, a wine store, and did odd jobs here and there like landscaping. |

Wearing underwear on the outside of your clothes can turn a tedious trip to the store for a forgotten carton of milk into an amusement park romp. |

For my own style, I love vintage. 60's and 70's are my favorite. I love baby doll dresses and the soft colors. I try to mix a little bit of modern into that - maybe I'll wear it with boots. At my school we wear a uniform, but we have one day a week we can wear whatever we want. |

Every trend in my high school was terrible! I used to wear my hair in a tight bun and let two long pieces hang in the front. I'd also wear really dark eyeliner and bright pink eyeshadow. For some reason, my friends and I thought it was really fashionable to wear a short tie with our uniforms. |

When it comes to the hijab - why to wear it, whether to wear it, how to wear it - there is theology and then there is practice, and there is huge diversity in both. |

Whether I'm doing music or I'm walking down the street or I'm in a record store buying a record or I walk into a comic store and I'm buying comics or having a drink with my friends, it's the same me. |

You can't be what you don't see. I didn't think about being a doctor. I didn't even think about being a clerk in a store, I'd never seen a black clerk in a clothing store. |

The App Store has democratized the creation of content. As a 12-year-old kid, I was able to put my application on the store. No one knows who's behind the screen so you can't tell I'm a 12-year-old. |

"Back in 99 just before the Y2K scare, my buddy worked there and would get calls like that all the time. He would pick up the phone when they called and not say anything for a second to see if he could hear any snickering before saying the store greeting. If he could tell it was going to be a prank call he would start the greeting and then congratulate them on being the lucky caller that would receive a free game for calling. All they had to do was come down and pick it up. Sounds stupid but it worked every time. When the kids showed up to get the free game he would have them pose with the game they chose, take their picture with the Polaroid camera, take the game from them and then ask “How does it feel to be pranked? Stop calling the store and get out”."

I had a dream that I was in a store and I was trying to buy a big box of laffy taffies but they wouldn't sell them to me and I was really upset about it and wrote a scathing review online when I got home.

Tamagotchi had AG13 batteries. Couldn't find any at the store. Bought A357 instead. They worked. Now the problem is that my sleep schedule is so abnormal that my Tamagotchi is going to wake up 5 hours before me and starve while I'm sleeping.

I had some other dream where my ex-girlfriend was hiding in a tree somewhere near where I worked and she worked at the same company but it was a secret. Then there was some other person that I was friends with that did not resemble anyone I had ever met. I think my brain was trying to tell me that it is surprising sometimes how things change and how what you think you know doesn't always matter later on.

On September 26, 1963, a 12-year-old, 3,000-pound female dancing elephant named Rajje (alternately reported as Raji and Little Rajjee, among other variations) rebelled against her trainer during a performance in a shopping-center circus near what was then Logan Street and Holmes Road in Lansing, and escaped into the streets, aggravated by the frenzied pursuit of nearly 4,000 local residents. The incident ended with the shooting of the elephant by Lansing police.[18][19] Provoked by the growing crowd, Rajje's rampage took her through the men's wear, sporting goods and gift departments of a local Arlan's discount store before leading police on a two-mile chase in which she knocked down and injured a 67-year-old man, tried to move a car, and caused thousands of dollars in damage before being subdued. ...

I don't understand why like every shopping mall I've ever been in has an import store that sells knives that are illegal to own. Is that why those stores go out of business every couple months and get replaced by a different import store? It's literally every single one. Like what are even the repercussions of getting caught selling those?

Customer at subway "wants to speak to the manager"
I worked at a subway that didn't have any authority/managers, just a couple minimum wage base level workers. I don't remember what this particular customer was mad about but she was arguing with me and didn't like the answer I gave her. She asked to speak to the manager, and there not being a manager I decided to promote myself on the spot and replied with "manager speaking, how can I help you." This did not make her very happy because she realized she was not going to get a different answer and asked for a phone number to call. The owner has specifically told us never to give his cell number to customers so i gave her the store number. She gives me a shit eating grin thinking about how much trouble she's about to get me in when the phon...
