I am so sorry for our mutual pain. As of today, it has gone off yet again a grand total of seven times (there is presumably a party, and/or a bonfire, and/or someone reeeeally into candles) |

People don't realize that they're being played by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, but more so by the Democratic Party because the Democratic Party does not want another party in there. |
Richard J. Daley |
The Democratic Party is the party that opened its arms. We opened them to every nationality, every creed. We opened them to the immigrants. The Democratic Party is the party of the people. |
Reggie Jackson |
When you've played this game for ten years and gone to bat seven-thousand times and gotten two-thousand hits do you know what that really means? It means you've gone zero for five-thousand. |

Bonfire of the Vanities: The lesson of that book is, never start believing your own press. |
Eddie Campbell |
All that political stuff Delano was doing. Me, I've gone off the top, into total fantasy. |

When I read about how 200 people died on a polar expedition, I wonder why they didn't get to know the Inuit people who were around and presumably know something about surviving in the Arctic after living there for thousands of years. Talking to people is a survival mechanism. |
Glenn Danzig |
The Democratic party has gone so far to the left that people just can't relate to it anymore and the Republican party is trying to go totally to the right. |
John Jakes |
The pain comes from knowing that we have never been safe, and therefore will never be safe again. It comes from knowing we can never be so ignorant again. It comes from knowing we can never be children again. Losing innocence. Remembering heaven. That was the essence of hell. |
John Hall |
I think everyone holds back. I am always censoring myself and I'm sorry about it. But I always have to consider whether my remarks might cause someone pain. |
Douglas Adams |
If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves. |

We can't derive meaning from logic. Everything has value and nothing has value. Things are pathetic and/or gorgeous. The quality of a foundation in itself is not even applicable to other dimensions without gravity. A basis for existence is unspeakable. Shared silence and sincere eye contact is the medicine.

Snakes are pretty cool. Also "Sometimes the snake can be found swimming in the water which is also reflective of emotions that you are suppressing."
So, like, are you repressing concerns regarding your eyesight and/or impending doom related to said eyesight? I feel like it might be related to anxieties about your polarized sunglasses? Seems super legit.
I should switch to a Psychology Ph.D.

The brain itself cannot feel pain. While the brain might be the pain center when you cut your finger or burn yourself, the brain itself does not have pain receptors and cannot feel pain.

Humans need to ground their energy with a clear objective. Or else being lost in thoughts brings you to the ineffable why of everything and you will hurt. Most people ground themselves with the authority of others but if you've had enough experiences and/or time alone to begin thinking independently you will see the damage that societal authorities do and be antisocial and lost in your own analyses. Addiction and depression or extreme arrogance or maybe all three. Left with all your energy to ground by yourself, there is still no sovereignty when the design of the universe governs our drives and sets our limits. Our energy is already grounded by the callings of life itself. That is the real authority.

Summum bonum is a Latin expression meaning "the highest good", which was introduced by the Roman philosopher Cicero,[1] to correspond to the Idea of the Good in ancient Greek philosophy. The summum bonum is generally thought of as being an end in itself, and at the same time containing all other goods.
The term was used in medieval philosophy. In the Thomist synthesis of Aristotelianism and Christianity, the highest good is usually defined as the life of the righteous and/or the life led in communion with God and according to God's precepts.[1] In Kantianism, it was used to describe the ultimate importance, the singular and overriding end which human beings ought to pursue.

Apple, Google and Microsoft Are Hoarding $464 Billion In Cash
Apple, Google and Microsoft are sitting on a mountain of cash -- and most of it is stashed far away from the taxman. Those three tech behemoths held a total of $464 billion in cash at the end of last year, according to a Moody's report published this week. From a report: Apple alone had a stunning quarter-trillion dollars of cash thanks to years of gigantic profits and few major acquisitions. That's enough money to buy Netflix three times. It's also more cash than what's sitting on the balance sheet of every major industry except tech and health care. All told, non-financial U.S. companies studied by Moody's hoarded $1.84 trill...

I had a dream that I was in an insane asylum and they were testing drugs on people and they gave me one that they wanted to use to control people's bodies. It didn't work and it made people seize when they tried it. It killed a lot of people. They would try to activate the chemical at certain times and I think that corresponded to my real life stomach pain.

Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse Is Coming Later This Month (usatoday.com)
The "super blood wolf moon eclipse" is coming to a sky near you later this month. "The total lunar eclipse will start late on Sunday, Jan. 20 and finish early on Monday, Jan. 21," reports USA Today. Slashdot reader Zorro shares the report: Total lunar eclipse: A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon and the sun are on exact opposite sides of Earth, according to NASA. When this happens, Earth blocks the sunlight that normally reaches the moon. Instead of that sunlight hitting the moon's surface, Earth's shadow falls on it. Starting at 9:36 p.m. EST Jan. 20, skywatchers will notice a "little notch is taken out of the...
