I dreamed that I was watching Nancy Reagan give her candidacy speech at the Democratic National Convention in what looked like an old timey courthouse, very somber place, lots of big windows. Near the end she said, "The next president will be crazy!" and everyone burst into applause, because apparently crazy was a good thing and associated with her. Then some old-ass dude representing the party higher-ups said a bunch of stuff in an irritated tone that completely negated everything she said about the party's positions in her speech, like "Well, actually..." Everyone was silent after his short follow-up, then an old British dude who was the richest person in the world named The Donor walked up and in an irritated yet patronizingly kind voice offered his arm to Nancy an said, "Can I talk to you for a minute," as part of an attempt to placate her. Well, I think the feeling and relationships in the dean are more important than the specific symbols. To be clearer, they accepted his commands in the beginning because they wanted his money and they expected him to die soon, but he didn't, so they were stuck doing what he said for waaay longer than expected. That suggests to me that the dream was about some choice I made where I made a concession of my freedom in exchange for something else that I wanted, not expecting to be bound up for such a long time.

Dream dictionary says this about adultry: "To dream that your mate, spouse, or significant other is cheating on you highlights your insecurities and your fears of being abandoned. You feel that you are being taken for granted. You are lacking attention in the relationship or that he or she is being less affectionate. Alternatively, you feel that you are not measuring up to the expectations of others" - so maybe this is applicable but not from your perspective, from theirs. Also it says this about relatives: "To see your relatives in your dream signify family issues and feelings. Basically the overview of the dream was that we all went to a party that wasn't quite earthly and within this part there were different experiences in different places like different universes through doors. We all were at this party but it was in different places to the 3 of us. Then throughout the other dimensions we stayed together and saw some of the same places. For example in my dream we were in a downtown area like East Lansing mixed with Zanzibar and each bar we went to was a completely different experience and party. One of these other dimensions was on a desert high way where there were bridges over head and it seemed to be going to a strange place. I remember being on the phone while driving talking to my homie like I gotta get back to the place where we all were. In everyones dream there seemed to be a portion where there was a fuck ton of people. I'm leaving out basically all the details of everyones specific dream but it was some crazy shit for sure. I used to have dreams but THC now swims through my veins. The same game everyday with no shame. It's my way of stayin insane. But you don't get no beauty sleep while shootin reefer straight to the face. You don't dream and your DMT it just don't release. But instead of ceasin this disease I'm just increasin it. Using weed to ease and disappear my feelings.

The fundamental thesis Jung is advancing about the relationship between Alchemy and Psychology is that for pre-scientific humans there is not a sharp distinction between subject and object and thus this leads them to unconsciously project their own inner states onto external objects (especially objects that are mostly unknown to them), so a reflective analysis of alchemical symbols becomes revelatory about the unconscious psychic life of this time period. Prior to this rational segregation of experience the world was a totally different one, phenomenologically, as people did not distinguish between the qualities of the object they were perceiving and their own values, emotions, and beliefs. It is partly for this reason that the alchemists cannot say aloud exactly what the philosopher's stone really 'is' and why there are so many different symbols for the work.
