Damn the great executives, the men of measured merriment, damn the men with careful smiles oh, damn their measured merriment. |
Roman Jakobson |
The task is to investigate speech sounds in relation to the meanings with which they are invested, i.e., sounds viewed as signifiers, and above all to throw light on the structure of the relation between sounds and meaning. |
Britt Robertson |
I am the oldest of seven. Do my siblings think I'm super cool? I wish they thought I was super cool! |

I don't recommend steroids for everyone, and I don't recommend growth hormones for everyone. But for certain individuals, I truly believe, because I've experimented with it for so many years, that it can make an average athlete a super athlete. It can make a super athlete - incredible. Just legendary. |

I'm super, super casual. I like boxer shorts or jeans or tank tops, tennis shoes and flip flops. That's about it for me. |

I write the last line, and then I write the line before that. I find myself writing backwards for a while, until I have a solid sense of how that ending sounds and feels. You have to know what your voice sounds like at the end of the story, because it tells you how to sound when you begin. |
Kobe Bryant |
I'm extremely willful to win, and I respond to challenges. Scoring titles and stuff like that... it sounds, well, I don't care how it sounds - to me, scoring comes easy. It's not a challenge to me to win the scoring title, because I know I can. |
Luc Ferrari |
So the ideology was that: use sounds as instruments, as sounds on tape, without the causality. It was no longer a clarinet or a spring or a piano, but a sound with a form, a development, a life of its own. |
Robert Irwin |
For the next week, try the best you can to pay attention to sounds. You will start hearing all these sounds coming in. Once you let them in, you've already done the first and most critical thing, you've honored that information by including it. And by doing that, you've actually changed the world. |

The happy people are failures because they are on such good terms with themselves they don't give a damn. |

Some of the posts on the code golf stack exchange are super interesting. I especially like the assembly ones. Something about using assembly just feels really good to me. It is like, it feels good to directly use the instructions the CPU uses.

i'm interested in slang than when you say it sounds old and silly and highly associated with one decade or phase of culture (e.g., groovy) and slang that I'm pretty sure is just as old but doesn't sound silly with such association (e.g., idk, there's gotta be something slangy that's old, would something like "speak of the devil" or "mother fucker" or "god damn it" count or are those not that old) and those in the middle (e.g., bees knees). What if the old and not silly are actually

Idea time: when you type or receive a text, there should be sounds that are played for each emoji. You can set the sounds yourself and they're just like 1-2 second clips. That'd be fun.

I don't remember what my dream was two nights ago but I know it was super spooky. There was some weird condition where someone had to kill someone else or something. Dreams always have the funkiest things like that. I think my dreams would make good horror movies if I could remember them.

i find myself listening to the same stuff forever and not taking in new sounds as much as i used to. its a much slower process for music to enter my life.
i used to use bassdrive.com 's drum and bass station to code too. independent internet radio stations are good for new music that people dont know
