One thing that annoys me is when you see women in these terrible and incredible situations with perfectly glossed lips. You're not going to look good in the apocalypse. |

I wouldn't compare myself to any past Idol contestant, because I don't feel like I am like any of them. Maybe stories are cool but my story is different from most people's story. I don't like to compare myself to other people, I like to just be me. |

Scarce any problem will appear more hard and difficult, than that of determining the distance of the Sun from the Earth very near the truth: but even this... will without much labour be effected. |

Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is! |

That's whatever news topic, whatever political process any country is going through - whenever they are in the news, that's when they exist. If you don't see them they don't exist. |
Thomas Sowell |
If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly. |
Taissa Farmiga |
All my friends are like, 'Can you be on my side in the zombie apocalypse?' and I'm like, 'I got this.' |

If anything good came out of 9/11, to me, was that people were so cynical about the world - all you hear about on the news is all the bad stuff everyday, but what was refreshing to me was after that, you saw how many good people there are out there. For every one bad one, there's a thousand good ones. |
Stephen King |
After the 9/11 apocalypse happened in New York City, people, particularly New Yorkers, who breathed in the ash, or saw the results of that, have a tendency to keep seeing echoes and having flashbacks to it. |

I wish that I was able to love everyone, even people that don't do good things. I want to believe that everyone has good in them, but sometimes there are people that do terrible things to you and it's so difficult to override that natural instinct to dislike them. What is the best way to deal with someone you know is bad for you/your self esteem/your confidence when you have to work with them every single day?

Without a means of communicating (not necessarily internet) I think people in different regions would develop significantly differently. I can go to the other side of the world and find people that have seen the same news as me, are aware of the same advances in science and technology, and have some awareness of their culture. It'd be like having a bunch of little worlds on the same planet.

As long as free speech and free political association remain legal is all good tho. On the other hand, daddy is apparently determined to contort any news media to his version of fairness and his benefit of the doubt.

I think you shouldn't respect everyone. I think that I try to and that is good but it is not good to respect people who don't treat you well. There comes a point where it is unhealthy to listen to what they say.

Facebook Filed a Patent To Calculate Your Future Location
Facebook has filed several patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for technology that uses your location data to predict where you're going and when you're going to be offline. BuzzFeed News reports: A May 30, 2017, Facebook application titled "Offline Trajectories" describes a method to predict where you'll go next based on your location data. The technology described in the patent would calculate a "transition probability based at least in part on previously logged location data associated with a plurality of users who were at the current location." In other words, the technology could also use the data of ...

Another thing to keep in mind is that inner city school shootings happen every year that you never hear about. Ghetto people acting gangsta is old news and isnt exciting enough for the media to mention even if it does happen in a classroom. Only the terorist in suburbia angle is ripe for celebrity.
