To come back to the walls of society was the hard part. I hope we can all save our loved ones. |

We saw everything as small metaphors for the origins of humanity. We hit all the major points. How did we get here? The war paint, the Tai Chi, fire, discovery, the commandments, friendship, love, jealousy, sacrifices, blessings, old technology and familiarity, unknown travelers of similar origins. Those who were in the exact same place in the past, doing the same basic things. Our version of the cycle was life changing and we represented all different aspects of humanity.

Americans in the Civil War period were very interested in Heaven and what it might be like, because they were having to face the fact that many of their loved ones were gone and many of their loved ones, they hoped, were in this other realm called Heaven. |

We need your help. I need your help. We need money for research. It may not save my life. It may save my children's life. It may save someone you love. And it's very important. |
Henry Louis Gates |
But you see, our society is still trapped in this binary, black/white logic and that has had some very positive implications for our generation. It's had some very negative ones as well and one of the negative ones is that it creates enormous identity problems for people who have one black ancestor and all white ancestors for example. |

I feel that its our children who do give us hope because they are the ones who are going to save the world. |

I liked George Weiss when he was with the Yankees. He loved the Old Timers' Day. He loved it. And he invited all these people to come, all these players to come. |

I'm going to tell you the story about the geese which fly 5,000 miles from Canada to France. They fly in V-formation but the second ones don't fly. They're the subs for the first ones. And then the second ones take over - so it's teamwork. |
Edward Everett Hale |
Never bear more than one kind of trouble at a time. Some people bear three kinds of trouble - the ones they've had, the ones they have, and the ones they expect to have. |

We are a nation of immigrants. We are the children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the ones who wanted a better life, the driven ones, the ones who woke up at night hearing that voice telling them that life in that place called America could be better. |

I don't know how or why any part of society would enforce that system of upgrading the robots.
Elon is going to put computers in our brains and then we'll upgrade those instead.

I had a dream that I was standing on top of my house and the chimney fell and crushed the other part of the house and all these critters ran out of the walls. Then this giant spider crawled out and I had to kill it. I squished it but it was like as big as my torso and it was like popping a balloon. Very weird.

"Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent the charming thing we call 'society'. Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home."

I had a dream last night where I spent innumerable dream hours frantically searching high and low for the keys to unlock the Saw-like bomb contraptions from the bodies of several frightened friends. For whatever reason I was not strapped with one, but I was locked in the same labyrinth and oppressed by the anxiety and guilt of being the one who was free to save them but probably couldn't on time. When I stopped running and was about to give in to the guilt, I noticed that each person had their own key hooked to the back of their own devices. I was so busy and worried about leading each to their separate deliverance that I never thought to stand back and follow them.

I've discovered that through diligence and a lack of other options a man can destroy even the part of his soul that hungers to be loved and understood. Make of yourself an emotionless soldier and your peace of mind cannot be disturbed. Sheer willpower can replace friendship or any other need of the spirit. Sometimes when one's feelings are deemed inferior to another's selfish fancy, the message hits home and the feeler has no choice but to eliminate his weakness at the source. I don't need help anymore.

Dude or dudette, I have trouble with this all the time. My thoughts is that EVERYONE is capable of being considerate and bettering themselves but they just don't care. However I think after years or decades of not giving a shit about anyone but themselves, they get stuck in that mindset. Nurture is so important because as we know most people tend not to change thaaat much, so if they are being raised well then they end up having these lifelong values stuck with them.
I've seen tons of people who seem incapable of considering others, but I find that at least some reflect on their actions, but when they are in the thick of it, don't consider or reflect on those thoughts, which I get, it's hard to be active and reflect at the same time. ...
