I had a dream that there were these moths that could fly but didn't have any wings and they would run into things and explode and turn into eggs and larvae. Also there were four people with super powers and one could turn into a shark and stop time, another one could control water and ice. I don't remember the other two. |

Well first of all, I think the phrase 'jump the shark' has jumped the shark. I read it in every article and I think that when Fonzie actually jumped the shark, 'Happy Days' was on the air for another five years. |

I'm not a vegetarian by any means; I eat fish. But the problem with shark finning is they catch the shark, cut their fins and throw them back in the ocean, and to me, that's wrong. If you're going to kill an animal, you should use the entire animal and do it humanely. I'm definitely not a big fan. |

We have two American flags always: one for the rich and one for the poor. When the rich fly it means that things are under control; when the poor fly it means danger, revolution, anarchy. |

I'm going to tell you the story about the geese which fly 5,000 miles from Canada to France. They fly in V-formation but the second ones don't fly. They're the subs for the first ones. And then the second ones take over - so it's teamwork. |
Nicolas Cage |
As a child, these colourful superheroes that could fly, or were horrifying like Ghost Rider and the Hulk, with this tremendous rage or these supernatural powers, provided an escape for me from my mundane existence, from my lack of friends or my inability to communicate well with people. They liberated me. |

I have plenty of dream roles because there is so much I want to do, but my dream year would be to be in a single-camera comedy and then, on my hiatus, film a little low-budget indie drama. That would be a dream 12-month period. A dream role depends on having good material and working with people that I can learn from. |

There is some information that an actor doesn't need, and that's okay. I can't control everything. I don't want to control everything. Sometimes, you want to control everything, and you want to know the size of the lens and stuff like that. I am so relaxed as an actor because I don't want to control everything. I just want to control my part. |
Friedrich Nietzsche |
He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying. |
Lawrence Eagleburger |
If we had made it clear from the very beginning that we were not going to tolerate another nuclear power on the face of the earth, and had done it in Korea, where we could have accomplished it militarily, if necessary, I would put a stop to it and would have put a stop to it there. |
C. S. Lewis |
It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad. |

I had a dream I was in a car crash and I was scrunched down in my seat so I couldn't see out the window. I was afraid that I would land in water so I didn't want to spend the time to sit up in my seat and look out the window because I was afraid that it would take too much time and that if I did land in water that I wouldn't be able to react in time to open the door. It was the middle of winter and like 0 degrees outside so it was additionally scary because of that. I don't remember where I landed exactly cause I woke up.

I had a mid-apocolyptic dream and I was traveling somewhere and a lot of churches and schools were in the same building because there weren't as many buildings and there were a lot of religious schools and things that weren't destroyed. I went down into the basement with some people and we were trying to get clean water and a lot of mud came out of the faucets and we were boiling the water and bugs were coming out of it and wriggling away. We thought that there was a bomb in one of the rooms so we started evacuating the building. I rented a house which was pretty cheap for some reason but there was a lot of rare artifacts and things in the house. There was a kid and his two parents that owned the house. I never saw the mom but 5 thieves came and shot the dad and then the kid went nuts and grabbed a gun and killed all the thieves. There was also another part of the dream where there was a bunch of moving conveyor belts and some people were getting stuck in the machinery but I don't rem...

Turn up for work. Discipline allows creative freedom. No discipline equals no freedom. Never stop when you are stuck. You may not be able to solve the problem, but turn aside and write something else. Do not stop altogether. Love what you do. Be honest with yourself. If you are no good, accept it. If the work you are doing is no good, accept it. Don’t hold on to poor work. If it was bad when it went in the drawer it will be just as bad when it comes out. ...

I don't remember what my dream was two nights ago but I know it was super spooky. There was some weird condition where someone had to kill someone else or something. Dreams always have the funkiest things like that. I think my dreams would make good horror movies if I could remember them.

I had some weird dreams last night. In one of them I was on a planet with people from earth and we were in a different part of the universe where you could see all sorts of other galaxies in the sky and there were two that were colliding and they lit up the whole sky with all sorts of yellow and purpley colors. There was this girl that was taking pictures and video of the whole thing trying to document it. She was walking through fields of tall grasses and these plains that were filled with very shallow water that had waves about twice as high as the depth of the water, but still shorter than the average person. The dream kept switching between this girl and a completely different place in time where these unrecognizable creatures were speaking in a language I didn't understand about the collision of the two galaxies. There were one or two other dreams I had in different REM cycles and I don't remember them at the moment.

I had a dream that involved this shopping center a lot for some reason. I went there with my parents and I went there with my violin to play a few times and it seemed like the past because I had my parent's old car. But then also in grad school, ppl were texting me asking where I was and I was like always at one of the places in the center. One was a steak n shake and ppl would text me and be like "where are you" and I'd tell them I was there and they asked me why and I was like I love milkshakes what don't you understand. And then I remember doing academic things and traveling with the lab but then having to leave one place early to go to France. One person knew that I knew this one guy that died and she was like asking me to tell other people what he had said to me and I was like I don't know. I think you guys know everything. I don't think he told me anything he didn't tell you but this really stressed me out for some reason that she thought I knew more. And I was sad and ppl didn'...

I had one dream where I was on a beach or a field or maybe it was both but I was flying around on some kind of gliding machine that caught a strong breeze. It didn't have a motor or anything so it hit the ground eventually and there were some people there and they invited us to go see their cabin and then the one guy turned out to just be completely crazy. Like you could not predict anything he was about to do. He might try to bake you a cake one second and kill you the next. It was disturbing and we tried to get away as fast as we could and he said he would follow us and come see us later. There was a woman there with him who was trying to tell him to stop doing things all the time but it was so mind-shatteringly unpredictable. Then I had some other dream that I was dressed as a doctor and trying to avoid this person that wanted to ask me out.

i had a dream within a dream within a dream last night
in the deepest dream, which is the hardest to remember, I know there was something scary. I don't remember what exactly was scary, but I do remember it involved being in a spooky-looking basement, one of those that feels cold, drippy, moist like a cave, spider webs all over. I think this basement was pretty empty. I remember being in a stairway that led down to it, looking down into its depths, the golden light behind me fading darker with each step.
I remember being in the basement. I don't remember what was happening in there. I wasn...

Trying to remember your dreams, in my experience, is doing these small things like telling yourself to write things down when you wake up or to think about what is possible/not possible while falling asleep. Or to say things out loud when you wake up. I don't remember to do these things until one day I say "if you do this thing it will help you remember." And then I find myself doing it. I think because you're not conscious the only way to influence these things is by priming your brain to do them. It just makes me think about how I could probably improve other areas of my life by just telling myself that if I do X, then Y will change or improve; by priming myself for better habits.

Every day I turn the temperature down from 80 to 75. Then my boss turns it down to 73 or lower. And every time I have to turn it back up to at least 75, and he turns it back down. Im fucking freezing back here and Ive asked him to raise the temperature before.
