I don't get it. So you don't believe it? I think it's good that you don't believe this. I don't think you are destroying yourself. I think you're just looking at things a different way. |

Ellen DeGeneres |
If we're destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there's got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that. |
Johnny Depp |
If there's any message to my work, it is ultimately that it's OK to be different, that it's good to be different, that we should question ourselves before we pass judgment on someone who looks different, behaves different, talks different, is a different color. |
Bradley James |
The post-'Merlin' era is an exciting time to look forward to. Variety is the spice of life. That's the fantastic thing about acting - all the different challenges it can provide you with. To limit yourself just to one would be foolish; therefore, I'm looking forward to different things that come my way. |
Sebastian Faulks |
Certainly, we all have within us the potential to live in a hugely different way. And how happy you can make yourself, I think, a lot depends on how much you beat yourself up about that; and how much you can, in some sort of providential way, console yourself and say, 'Well, it's all worked out for the best, in the best of all possible worlds.' |
Stephen Hawking |
We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity. We cannot remain looking inwards at ourselves on a small and increasingly polluted and overcrowded planet. |
Chuck Palahniuk |
Men are destroyed for being rebellious, and women destroy themselves by failing to be rebellious. Unless you can make that next jump to either getting along with people or resisting people, you are ultimately destroying yourself. |
Michael Imperioli |
There's too many actors in LA. I mean, I'll go out there from time to time, but I always find it pretty soul-destroying. I don't drive, and the people kind of rub me the wrong way. It's just not home. You know? It's not New York. It's not... my town. |
Lyndon B. Johnson |
The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison men because they are different from other men. |
Robert Adamson |
It's just that if you're not disruptive everything seems to be repeated endlessly - not so much the good things but the bland things - the ordinary things - the weaker things get repeated- the stronger things get suppressed and held down and hidden. |
Bertrand Russell |
I believe in using words, not fists. I believe in my outrage knowing people are living in boxes on the street. I believe in honesty. I believe in a good time. I believe in good food. I believe in sex. |

I don't know if I want to teach next semester. I have to decide soon and I don't know if I'll get another chance before I graduate. I think it could be a good experience and I kind of think teaching is one of the most meaningful things you can do but it is very time consuming and might even slow down my graduation a little bit.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

I had a dream that involved this shopping center a lot for some reason. I went there with my parents and I went there with my violin to play a few times and it seemed like the past because I had my parent's old car. But then also in grad school, ppl were texting me asking where I was and I was like always at one of the places in the center. One was a steak n shake and ppl would text me and be like "where are you" and I'd tell them I was there and they asked me why and I was like I love milkshakes what don't you understand. And then I remember doing academic things and traveling with the lab but then having to leave one place early to go to France. One person knew that I knew this one guy that died and she was like asking me to tell other people what he had said to me and I was like I don't know. I think you guys know everything. I don't think he told me anything he didn't tell you but this really stressed me out for some reason that she thought I knew more. And I was sad and ppl didn'...

Well, it's really cool at first, and it's definitely a skill you can develop. You can get good at controlling your dreams, too (summoning new elements, or trying to render things differently (don't know how appropriate render is for word choice).
Exhibiting control is actually quite exhausting, ironically, and the in between stage (bad way to describe it) when you're on the verge of wakefulness and hanging on to a dream-state by a thread is quite an lonely, dark, barren, color-void space (not that there are very many colors in your dreams to begin with).
Personally, I feel it's much better...

I think it greatly affects how we think. I don't know about the latter part. What about when there is something that you don't know how to describe? You're still thinking about it.

All social interaction? I don't understand the first half. I don't think that love IS either of those things. I think it can exist in either condition.

I used to have dreams but THC now swims through my veins. The same game everyday with no shame. It's my way of stayin insane. But you don't get no beauty sleep while shootin reefer straight to the face. You don't dream and your DMT it just don't release. But instead of ceasin this disease I'm just increasin it. Using weed to ease and disappear my feelings.

I'm not sure. I do think its more likely that those born in money have an attitude that they're family is smarter and harder working than the less fortunate. But they certainly didn't make their fortune giving money away. But those who don't have money probably don't share their money either. But I think they would better understand what being in the bottom of the 99% lives like.
It really comes down more to how one was raised. People who are raised well are just good people. You don't see shitty snobby kids from parents that teach lessons and enforce boundaries. ...

I wish that I was able to love everyone, even people that don't do good things. I want to believe that everyone has good in them, but sometimes there are people that do terrible things to you and it's so difficult to override that natural instinct to dislike them. What is the best way to deal with someone you know is bad for you/your self esteem/your confidence when you have to work with them every single day?
