Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture... Do not build up obstacles in your imagination. |

For skincare, I'm a Clean and Clear girl. Especially with the humidity in Georgia, Clean and Clear has been pretty good to me with all of the makeup we have to wear. My skin really responds to that product. I'm also a big fan of Kiehl's under-eye avocado cream. |
Derek Jacobi |
What was so good about it was that the set that they originally built stayed there, and weathered over the five years. It got five summers and five winters of weather. It became more and more authentic as we worked in it, and they added bits to it. |
Andrew Eldritch |
But for every hour and a half on stage, you have a five hour long bus ride, waiting for five hours at the airport, five hours of interviews... I know, it's part of the job, but that doesn't imply I have to like it. |
Colin Farrell |
I've realized as well after five years of being on the road that if I'm going to four or five months of my life to something even if I'm overpaid, it's four or five months of my life away from home, away from my son, away from family and friends. I better believe in it on some level even if it's a big movie. |
Steven Adler |
If it wasn't for KISS, there would be no Guns N' Roses. Bands like that made Guns N' Roses. We were five guys with five personalities and five different influences. The stars were aligned for us. |
Robert Hamer |
It's flattering to make a picture which becomes a classic within 10 years; it's not so flattering, however, when people get the impression it's the only picture you've ever made. |
Alphonso Jackson |
One of the problems that we are confronted with is, when we decide to buy or build a home, we don't get a clear picture of what closing costs will be of that home. |
Brooks Adams |
The difference is slight, to the influence of an author, whether he is read by 500 readers, or by five hundred thousand; if he can select the 500, he reaches the five hundred thousand. |
Jason Gann |
I don't get that many scripts. Back in Australia, I've pretty much done my own shows and really no work outside of that. It's only now that I'm starting to read some Hollywood film scripts, and I've read some really great ones. |

Wikipedia says he was a unitarian universalist, atheist, humanist, and it says Slaughterhouse Five had existential themes. That's pretty much the kind of stuff I look for in a book.

I like it when you go to an academic website and the profile picture loads slowly top to bottom because they uploaded a super high-res picture and used the CSS to resize it.

If you sit quietly long enough, you'll hear yourself telling you stories about who and what you are, and why you do the things you do. In fact, you'll never be able to stop telling yourself these stories.

ive been overly paranoid lately about my political voice. through all the internet posts and facebook, they can put a pretty decent picture together of somebody, even if its wrong. but as a computer security nerd, an advocate for encyrption and privacy, and also a loud mouth about politics and our government, i am more and more afraid and conscious of what i post to not add to this permanent record or confuse anyone into thinking i have VIOLENT intentions of any kind. i post a lot on thinklynx about this just cuz its lowkey enough that its not being targeted like that lol

If you read it, it sounds like she really wants this guy to kill himself. Then at the end, you read it and its like... is she serious or is she just trying to cover it up. I don't know but she got a 2.5-year sentence.

How do you objectively measure the value of life though? I wonder if someday in the distant future there will be different objective measures for the value of life, each named after an ethical theory or philosophy, or famous philosopher. Then you'd have to have different tables of statistics about demographics. Makes me wonder how people write life insurance policies. I just read a lot about Satanism and I'm pretty sure this is more disturbing to think about. Turns out the Satanists on Reddit seem to mostly be Individualists with varying but usually very mild levels of angst.
