I had a dream I was at an orchestra concert and I was not in the concert but I was standing in this pit near the stage. I held up an instrument and asked someone whose violin it was and someone said it was a viola. Then the orchestra started performing and I tried to call out of the pit but I couldn't get out. Then my parents were there and they got up during the performance and tried to help me which was embarrassing. Then they told me to go home and meet them there. I went to their house and the house was more like a greenhouse and all the walls and doors were glass. I went there and started making pizza with some pizza dough. I drew a face in the dough with my finger and then ripped the dough around the face off. Then I continued making a pizza with all the dough. I knew a person would show up pretending to be my parent but would secretly be a demon and that I should pretend that I don't know that so I can escape. But then a demon just showed up with a huge knife and started walking to where I was making the pizza. I started walking through another door to get away and the demon was trying to figure out the shortest path to where he thought I was going and then I woke up. |

I played in an orchestra concert last night. One of my favorite parts about performing in an orchestra is looking around at the faces of the other musicians. Sometimes they say a lot. Sometimes you can tell they are very swept up in the part they are playing. Sometimes you can see how bored they are while counting rests. Sometimes they give very sassy looks at the conductor when the conductor tries something new.

I had a dream that an Uber driver stole my car and I eventually caught up with him and got in the car and he was like 'where do you want to go'? And I told him some place and he started driving and then he pulled out a violin and started playing while he was driving and told me that he gets all his practicing done while he's driving.

I had a dream I was at my parents house and it was summer. There were a lot of people I knew hanging out in the backyard. Some were my friends and some were my parents friends. I don't know why I was in the house. I found out we had these blue popsicles and I think I ate a few of them and I took one outside. People were barbecuing. I asked where my friends were and my parents said they were next door. I headed that way and my mom looked up and saw the sun and said "why is the sun on fire? it doesn't look normal". I looked up and I didn't see the sun but I saw what looked like the earth. It looked about 5 times bigger than the sun normally does in the sky and there was fire. I couldn't tell where between myself and what I saw the fire was. My vision was better when I looked at it though. I could see the earth in the sky 1000+ times better than my normal eyesight. I could see the mountains and the clouds and the trees and all of it was on fire.

I had a dream there was someone in my shower at my parents house. They were hiding there I guess? And that was weird and then I met up with my bff and she was practicing violin and looked super sad like something had happened. I think she was also wearing a wide brim hat with a feather in it.

I had a dream that I was at my parent's house in their office and a balding man in a suit walked up to me with a gun and asked me for directions to a mirror. I told him how to get to the mirror down the hall and he said he didn't get it so I started drawing him a map. My siblings showed up and started drawing maps too and then one of them hit the guy suddenly and we all shoved him into a waffle maker. He turned into a tasty looking waffle which was kind of disturbing. Then I woke up briefly and fell asleep and had another dream. This one was about cannibalism. There were several picnic tables stacked on top of each other but each one had piles of books on top. I climbed up this stack of tables to find a book at the top and then I jumped off and landed in a grassy field. My mom and my sister (I don't have a sister) were there and my mom was trying to keep my sister from trying to eat other humans. She was carrying around a big pepper shaker and trying to pepper people before she attemp...

I had a dream that involved this shopping center a lot for some reason. I went there with my parents and I went there with my violin to play a few times and it seemed like the past because I had my parent's old car. But then also in grad school, ppl were texting me asking where I was and I was like always at one of the places in the center. One was a steak n shake and ppl would text me and be like "where are you" and I'd tell them I was there and they asked me why and I was like I love milkshakes what don't you understand. And then I remember doing academic things and traveling with the lab but then having to leave one place early to go to France. One person knew that I knew this one guy that died and she was like asking me to tell other people what he had said to me and I was like I don't know. I think you guys know everything. I don't think he told me anything he didn't tell you but this really stressed me out for some reason that she thought I knew more. And I was sad and ppl didn'...

I had a dream that my friends were at my parent's house for a party I was throwing. I was really busy so I was downstairs working on something on my computer but they were all upstairs in this tiny room that had three beds in it. They were laying there talking. I came up once to see how they were doing and they tried to make me play heads-up-7up, but I told them I didn't like that game and I didn't know how to play and I left. They thought my reaction was funny and went back to what they were doing. Downstairs I was working and drinking a huge strawberry milkshake.
One of my friends was leaving and I heard her go out the front door so I went to follow her to say bye. She went out and I couldn't find shoes so I went out barefoot. She didn't see me at all and got in her car. I was going af...

I had a dream where I biked to a party with a couple friends, but I forgot cash and couldn't get in. The friends couldn't get in, either, because the people hosting the party were racist and they were black. We started to bike home all the way from Detroit (I have no idea where home was, but it was far from Detroit), and I almost ended up in a ditch. While trying not to fall into the ditch, I saw a baby rattlesnake there, which made me panic and nearly knock myself over. (I found out that there are rattlesnakes in California when I biked past two of them over the weekend, which is probably why this dream was rattlesnake themed).

Taylor Swift used facial recognition technology at her live performances so that technicians running the system could then check those face scans against a private database of her stalkers. There is now big demand for serious security at live events the size of a Taylor Swift concert. There have been so many bombings and mass shootings at music concerts over the past year to even remember without Googling. Fear of being killed at a music concert is something people factor in to the decision to buy tickets and go to live events. The demand for security is real.

I had a dream that there were storms all over earth all the time. It was like non-stop hail and high wind and rain and earthquakes. I was at my parent's house and their house was okay somehow but everyone had died except for me and the cats. My parents' spirits were possessing my cats and trying to help me survive but I didn't know it was my parents. I just thought my cats were really smart and helpful suddenly.
