"The phrase "Where are you?" was probably very rarely spoken before the 1900s" |

No poet will ever take the written word as a substitute for the spoken word; he knows that it is on the spoken word, and the spoken word only, that his art is founded. |
Charles Dickens |
An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself. |
Fyodor Dostoevsky |
We sometimes encounter people, even perfect strangers, who begin to interest us at first sight, somehow suddenly, all at once, before a word has been spoken. |
Zach Galifianakis |
Hollywood's built on insecurity. People are trying to prove things. And I probably have that. I probably do. Probably guilty of it, in a way. |
George Hamilton |
I don't use the phrase 'I love you' very often, but I say it every time I talk to my children. |
Russell Baker |
Children rarely want to know who their parents were before they were parents, and when age finally stirs their curiosity, there is no parent left to tell them. |
Bruce Feiler |
I definitely subscribe to the idea that 9/11, to use an overused phrase, was a wake-up call. There was a year-long national teach-in on Islam - everyone read books and suddenly talked about Islam, and that was very productive. But there's no doubt that moment has passed. |
Dianna Agron |
Well I've also kind of noticed that, whatever energy that you put out, is kind of the energy that you receive. And so people are just really lovely and kind and soft spoken with me. |
Henrik Ibsen |
Your home is regarded as a model home, your life as a model life. But all this splendor, and you along with it... it's just as though it were built upon a shifting quagmire. A moment may come, a word can be spoken, and both you and all this splendor will collapse. |
Hugh Dancy |
You can still have chemistry on screen without getting on with the person. But it just makes your job a lot easier if you don't have to gird your loins, if that's not quite the right phrase, every time you're going to do a scene with that person. |

Having a bunch of money helps one live in cities and culture but thats what im calling out. I want to save enough money to get the supplies I need to live off of the grid or however you want to phrase it. But I don't believe I need to use that money to get there, it just would allow me to get certain materials / tools faster.

I'm writing a dirty phrase generator that takes a list of dirty words and finds the Levenshtein distance of those words to all other words in the dictionary and assigns a probability of being chosen indirectly proportional to the closest word in the dirty word list.

What is a word made up of 4 letters, yet is also made up of 3. Sometimes is written with 9 letters, and then with 4. Rarely consists of 6, and never is written with 5.

Tao (The Way) that can be spoken of is not the Cons tant Tao’ The name that can be named is not a Constant Name. Nameless, is the origin of Heaven and Earth; The named is the Mother of all things. Thus, the constant void enables one to observe the true essence. The constant being enables one ...

Voldemort's NAME, for heaven's sake. In French, "vol-" means "escape," "-de-" means "from" and "-mort" means "death." His entire name is a mashup of the phrase "escape from death." Alternatively, in Latin, "vol" means "wish", "de" means "of", and "mort" means "death". So in Latin, Voldemort is "death wisher" or "one who wishes death". Tie that in with the French translation meaning "escape from death", and J.K. Rowling is a genius on so many levels. "Vol" can also be thief, or theft, too; both stealing from death, and stealing death itself.

Yesterday, there was a Magic the Gathering tournament at my local hobby shop. My girlfriend decided to tag along and come support me. I ended up doing pretty poorly (1-3), but the hobby shop gave out a consolation prize of a random foiled uncommon card. The card that I received was called "Thought Erasure" and immediately held the card up to my girlfriend and said "AND I CAST THOUGHT ERASURE, BE GONE THOT!" as a joke, but said it pretty loudly. The shop is pretty small and a lot of people caught wind of my act and needless to say my girlfriend was very embarrassed. We're home now and she still hasn't spoken to me. I'm fucked boys.
Tl;DR: Casted Thot Erasure on my girlfriend and now I'm afraid it may have worked.

Elon Musk's 'Scientific Method'
An unfortunate fact of human nature is that when people make up their mind about something, they tend not to change it -- even when confronted with facts to the contrary. "It's very unscientific," Musk says. "There's this thing called physics, which is this scientific method that's really quite effective for figuring out the truth." The scientific method is a phrase Musk uses often when asked how he came up with an idea, solved a problem or chose to start a business. Here's how he defines it for his purposes, in mostly his own words: 1. Ask a question. 2. G...

China, Russia Are Listening To Trump's Phone Calls, Says NYT Report
According to The New York Times, the Chinese are regularly listening to Donald Trump's cellphone calls. While he has two NSA-hardened iPhones, and a secure landline, he insists on using a consumer-grade iPhone -- even while knowing he's being eavesdropped upon -- because it has his contact list on it.
"White House officials say they can only hope he refrains from discussing classified information when he is on them," report...
