Last night I knelt where Hiram knelt And took an obligation.
Today, I’m closer to my God And I’m a Master Mason.
Though heretofore my fellow men Seemed each one like the other; Today, I search each one apart I’m looking for “MY BROTHER.” And as I feel his friendly grip It fills my heart with pride; I know that while I’m on the square That he is on my side. His footsteps on my errand go, If I should such require; His prayers will plead in my behalf; If I should so desire. My words are safe within his breast, As though within my own; His hand forever at my back, To help me safely home. Good counsel whisper in my ear, And warns of any danger. My square and compass, Brother now, Who once would call me stranger. I might have lived a normal life And risen to distinctions;
Without my brothers helping hand, And fellowship of Masons. But God, who knows how hard it is To resist life’s temptations, Knows why I knelt where Hiram knelt; And took an obligation |

John the Apostle |
If a man say, 'I love God,' and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
Bob Dylan |
You hear a lot about God these days: God, the beneficent; God, the all-great; God, the Almighty; God, the most powerful; God, the giver of life; God, the creator of death. I mean, we're hearing about God all the time, so we better learn how to deal with it. But if we know anything about God, God is arbitrary. |

Playing nuts is a game like any other, neither better than tops, nor worse than cards. The game is played in various ways. There are 'holes' and 'bank' and 'caps.' But every game finishes up in the same way. One boy loses, another wins. And, as always, he who wins is a clever fellow, a smart fellow, a good fellow. |

That is really not much different from the search engines that are being constructed today for users throughout the entire world to allow them to search through databases to access the information that they require. |
Harriet Tubman |
As I lay so sick on my bed, from Christmas till March, I was always praying for poor ole master. 'Pears like I didn't do nothing but pray for ole master. 'Oh, Lord, convert ole master;' 'Oh, dear Lord, change dat man's heart, and make him a Christian.' |
Stephen King |
When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, 'Why god? Why me?' and the thundering voice of God answered, 'There's just something about you that pisses me off.' |

But I liked Yeats! That wild Irishman. I really loved his love of language, his flow. His chaotic ideas seemed to me just the right thing for a poet. Passion! He was always on the right side. He may be wrongheaded, but his heart was always on the right side. He wrote beautiful poetry. |
Paul Feig |
The dueling maturity levels in high school is such a source of comedy to me. I was always such a late developer. I was last to walk. I was last to ride a bike. I was last to have sex. That's why it's fun to portray one side of your childhood onscreen. |
Ralph Abernathy |
You may be assured that we won't ever let your words die. Like the words of our Master, Jesus Christ, they will live in our minds and our hearts and in the souls of black men and white men, brown men and yellow men as long as time shall last. |
John Eldredge |
It was men who stopped slavery. It was men who ran up the stairs in the Twin Towers to rescue people. It was men who gave up their seats on the lifeboats of the Titanic. Men are made to take risks and live passionately on behalf of others. |

I had a dream that there was a foreign cat in my apartment and I was hissing at it (as you do) to make my cat feel like I was on her side. But my cat wasn't really mad and when I got closer I realized that it was just a lil babi kitten and then we all took care of it. Then I had another dream that I rolled over on my laptop and broke it.

We need to get a couple people together and go to the town square. Two of will be together. One will shout "Help! Is there a priest around! This woman is possessed!" and then other person will be on the other side of the square dressed as priest and will be like "Yes! I can help you!" "I heard your cry for help or whatever" and then we will speak some latin and do an exorcism and it'll be a good day. Holy water is good but it's better if we can get some smoke goin on. Hidden smoke machine or something. The incense waving maybe.

I had a dream the other night that someone was chasing me through a school. They followed me everywhere but I kept sneaking away. Then more people started looking for me and they eventually found me in a locker room attached to a gym. I looked at their faces and they didn't look real. They looked more like dolls. Then I got really upset and I told them that I knew my brain was doing this to me. It was like I knew on some level that I was dreaming. Then the person who was looking for me showed up and he had a machine gun and was just mowing down kids, killing everybody. I was running away from him and he was talking to me and trying to convince me to stop running but I didn't. He was getting closer and closer chasing me through and outside and around the building before I woke up.

I had this idea one night for creating a decentralized search engine. It would pull data from other search engines (through proxies or from a single server, so no personal user data is involved) and then re-display it to the user.
The next additional thought I had was to make it into a 'roll your own' search engine, so users could then deploy their search engine on their own server to have further control of the traffic as you obviously cant trust shit like duckduckgo (fishy)
Then you could m...

People write here about microplastics in the sea. I'll write about how I forgot my phone in the lost and found room. It all started a night before when I forgot my laptop charger in the law library. I was working with other students for Complexity homework. I was also stressed because of the AIDA project and this made me forget things and be very tired. I didn't even realize I forgot my charger until the end of the next day when my battery was low. The deadline for AIDA had just been pushed back again so I didn't need my laptop that night. Next morning I went to the law library, at the lost and found room to search for my charger. My excitement when I found it was so great that I didn't realize I left my phone on the desk there. Luckily, immediately after leaving the room I could sense that something was wrong. I felt incomplete without my phone. So, very embarrassed I turned back and faced the person in the room. She was amazed at how I left my phone in there after just recovering an...

"Victory? Victory you say? Master Obi-Wan, not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun the Clone War has." The Clone War is long over and also it was definitely a victory that day.

so me and my coworker had somewhat of a heart to heart. except they still think that they were just 'taking a break' when they were interrupting me and the other programmer who were actually working on something. they proceeded to tell me that they always used to just talk all the time at work and that i never take breaks from work. also they told me that she had discussed a specific interaction of ours with "someone else" (the girl she was iming in the other room for sure) and so her manipulative-ness sprung into action to get one of the other co workers on her side im sure. gotta spread the word that im the bad guy and that she is flawless. ok.. doesnt admit that she fucked me over the other day by lying. and still thinks she has every right to ask me all the time what im doing because she 'wants to learn programming stuff eventually'. UM YA im billing my work to the client im working for. not chit chatting with another department simultaneously billing a different client. I reall...

Unsent Text On Mobile Counts As a Will, Australian Court Finds msmash 4 hours ago 91 A court in Australia has accepted an unsent, draft text message on a dead man's mobile phone as an official will. The 55-year-old man had composed a text message addressed to his brother, in which he gave "all that I have" to his brother and nephew. From a report: The Supreme Court in Brisbane heard the 55-year-old took his own life in October 2016, after composing a text addressed to his brother, which indicated his brother and nephew should "keep all that I have," because he was unhappy with this wife. A friend found the text message in the drafts folder of the man's mobile phone, which was found near his body. The unsent message detailed how to access the man's bank account details and where he wanted ...
