MLK's lesser known landscaping aspirations from his I have a dream speech... "I have a dream today... I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low - the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight." |

Khalil Gibran |
A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain? |
Frank Lloyd Wright |
No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other. |
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross |
The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths. |
Khalil Gibran |
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance. |
Winston Churchill |
We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. |
Jesse Eisenberg |
When you do a play, you have the kind of nightly feeling of accomplishment. But you also have the daily dread of the doing it every night. And because you're doing the whole thing every day, it's like climbing up the mountain every single night. With a movie it's like climbing the mountain very slowly, over months of filming. |
Mitchell Baker |
Mozilla has one foot in the Valley, Silicon Valley product technology, and partly one foot in the social enterprise space. |
Immanuel Kant |
From such crooked wood as that which man is made of, nothing straight can be fashioned. |
Aldo Leopold |
We shall never achieve harmony with land, any more than we shall achieve absolute justice or liberty for people. In these higher aspirations, the important thing is not to achieve but to strive. |
Christopher Abbott |
I went to college in Connecticut, which was when I still lived at home. I worked at a video store, a wine store, and did odd jobs here and there like landscaping. |

Basically the overview of the dream was that we all went to a party that wasn't quite earthly and within this part there were different experiences in different places like different universes through doors. We all were at this party but it was in different places to the 3 of us. Then throughout the other dimensions we stayed together and saw some of the same places. For example in my dream we were in a downtown area like East Lansing mixed with Zanzibar and each bar we went to was a completely different experience and party. One of these other dimensions was on a desert high way where there were bridges over head and it seemed to be going to a strange place. I remember being on the phone while driving talking to my homie like I gotta get back to the place where we all were. In everyones dream there seemed to be a portion where there was a fuck ton of people. I'm leaving out basically all the details of everyones specific dream but it was some crazy shit for sure. To me, it proved ano...

I had a dream that I lived in Europe somewhere and I had this shed where I took chairs that my parents painted and tried to sell them. I had to take some of the chairs and scrape off the paint in places where they needed to be modified so that they would sell better. I was working one day when a girl with a broken arm walked up to me and asked me out. I told her I didn't live there and I was going back to the USA. She gave me her number anyway and then her mom showed up and made her leave. Then there was this whole other part of my dream where people were killing each other and there were some gangs and stuff but I don't know if that had anything to do with the chairs or if they were just in the same city or what.

I had two dreams. The first one I was running up a hill in my hometown that really exists but in the dream it seemed to be made out of a huge tree trunk and as I was running it started to fall apart and open up into empty sky. I fell a little but grabbed onto a part of the trunk and struggled for a while to try to move to the next piece of trunk without it breaking off and falling into the infinite sky.
In the other dream I was also falling out of something. I cannot remember what it was anymore but it had nothing to do with a tree.

I had a dream that I had a heart attack. I think that had heartburn or something while I was sleeping and that's what made me have the dream. Weird.

Well, I think the feeling and relationships in the dean are more important than the specific symbols. To be clearer, they accepted his commands in the beginning because they wanted his money and they expected him to die soon, but he didn't, so they were stuck doing what he said for waaay longer than expected. That suggests to me that the dream was about some choice I made where I made a concession of my freedom in exchange for something else that I wanted, not expecting to be bound up for such a long time.

Dream time! This time around I was in a simulation and trying to tell everyone else that it was a simulation. Unfortunately, they weren't real and also this made the simulation angry and try to stop me. Later it turned out that the simulation was actually in my mind and then it sort of turned into a lucid simulation where I could do anything. It was sort of like The Matrix. What a movie - wish they had made a sequel.

I had a dream that I lived somewhere closer to a mountain range. There was no civilization in view of my backyard. Just mountains. My cat came home through the snowy grass limping and her tail was missing. We got her inside and she was okay but then we saw these large and strange wolves approaching our house. They didn't look as fierce as real wolves. They were fluffier, but knowing that they were dangerous made them scarier somehow. We closed all the windows and doors (european style metal shutters) and waited for them to go away.

I had a dream that my mom loved my sister more than me and was not at all trying to hide it. When I confronted her about it, she agreed but made excuses for it. Francis bought her a present and she was rude and rejecting of it.
Also in my dream, the smoke alarm in my house went off, and we went outside and saw that our next-door neighbors' house was burning down. I tried to call the police, but they were being really unhelpful. In the end, I'm pretty sure the wife/mother in the house died, and maybe one or two of the kids, too. I felt partially responsible, but maybe just in a survivors'-guilt way.

I had a dream that Sherm was a dog walker and he was retiring and i was taking over his dogs. He was telling me all about how gross the dogs were and it made me really not want to do it.

I had a dream where I biked to a party with a couple friends, but I forgot cash and couldn't get in. The friends couldn't get in, either, because the people hosting the party were racist and they were black. We started to bike home all the way from Detroit (I have no idea where home was, but it was far from Detroit), and I almost ended up in a ditch. While trying not to fall into the ditch, I saw a baby rattlesnake there, which made me panic and nearly knock myself over. (I found out that there are rattlesnakes in California when I biked past two of them over the weekend, which is probably why this dream was rattlesnake themed).
