Tesla vs Edison. Try alternating coffee, beer, and weed every hour. I hear that's how I made up that Tesla invented electricity. |

Beer. It always seems like such a good idea at the time, doesn't it? What's worse is beer seems like an even better idea after you've had some beer. |

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. |
Samuel L. Jackson |
I never had one beer. If I bought a six-pack of beer, I kept drinking till all six beers were gone. You have to have that kind of understanding about yourself. I haven't had a drink now in 12 years. |

They who drink beer will think beer. |

Man, I'm 31 years old and a husband with four kids; I hope I'm no thug. I hear all those negative things and don't hear anything positive. I think that's all those people feel... that way that's all they hear about when you hear Allen Iverson did something negative or something. |

I've realized that being happy is a choice. You never want to rub anybody the wrong way or not be fun to be around, but you have to be happy. When I get logical and I don't trust my instincts - Thats when I get in trouble. |
Milton Berle |
We owe a lot to Thomas Edison - if it wasn't for him, we'd be watching television by candlelight. |

Too much coffee. Too much coffee and Gatorade. It's a hell of a mix. If you're ever tired in the morning, just try that mix, and tell me what you think. |

He was a wise man who invented beer. |

Thieves steal a Tesla Model S by hacking the entry fob Breaking in to the EV was easier than unplugging it.
A Tesla owner who recorded thieves stealing his Model S by hacking the passive entry system has published the video on YouTube so we can all watch (and learn). It shows the crooks using a tablet to apparently capture the passive signal from his keyfob, then using the data to open the vehicle. Amusingly, the pair didn't drive off as quickly as they could have simply because they couldn't figure out how to detach the charging cable (hint: there's a button).

1) Are there places that do coffee tastings instead of wine/beer tastings??
2) Are there coffee bars that sell only alcoholic coffee drinks? #coffeethoughts

Last Sunday I drank a coffee at 9pm, and then took a Sudafed at 11. I tried to go to bed around 2-3 after watching boardwalk empire, and obviously could not (Sudafed + coffee = kind of speedy). I should mention for a half hour before I went to sleep, I read all about the real life mobsters form that era, murder inc, etc. (what am I going to find out that I didn't last week from wikipedia?).
Anyway, I finally fell asleep around 5, and had a wonderful stress dream (nightmare some might call it, but I don't frighten easily) where I was shot in the neck, but in order to make sense of it and the angles of blood spurt or something, I had to realize a linear basis for the entire system of 1920s mobsters. Not that this was a conscious task that I had to solve, it was how my brain was trying t...

He actually apologized and then gave me a bag of lavender that I guess he gives to people smoking weed so that they don't smell like weed.

Experimental Device Generates Electricity From the Coldness of the Universe (phys.org)
An international team of scientists has demonstrated for the first time that it is possible to generate a measurable amount of electricity in a diode directly from the coldness of the universe. The infrared semiconductor device faces the sky and uses the temperature difference between Earth and space to produce the electricity. In contrast to leveraging incoming energy as a normal solar cell would, the negative illumination effect allows electrical energy to be harvested as heat leaves a surface. Today's technology, though, does not capture energy over these negative temperature differences as efficiently. By pointing their device toward space, whose temperature approaches mere degrees from absolute ze...

FCC Approves First Wireless 'Power-At-A-Distance' Charging System BeauHD 9 hours ago 109 The FCC has approved the first wireless charger that works from up to three feet away. Engadget reports: San Jose-based startup, Energous, announced on Tuesday that it has received the first such FCC certification for power-at-a-distance wireless charging with its WattUp Mid Field transmitter. The transmitter converts electricity into radio frequencies, then beams the energy to nearby devices outfitted with a corresponding receiver. This differs from the resonant induction method that the Pi wireless charging system relies upon and offers a greater range than the Belkin and Mophie chargers that require physical contact with the device. The WattUp can charge multiple devices simultaneously and should w...

Climate Change Will Cause Beer Shortages and Price Hikes, Study Says
A new study from Nature Plants has identified the one climate-related issue that can unite people from myriad political backgrounds -- beer. From a report: Led by Wei Xie, an agricultural scientist at Peking University, the paper finds that regions that grow barley, the primary crop used to brew beer, are projected to experience severe droughts and heat waves due to anthropogenic climate change. According to five climate models that used different projected temperature increases for the coming century, extreme weather events could reduce barley yields by 3 to 17 percent. Barley harvests are mostly sold as livestock fodde...

Do you think that if you say enough things to a person that they can't hear or understand that when they hear any phenomenon that generates white noise, it'll just sound like you mumbling?

It would be so weird to be a housepet. The light literally follows your owners (if they're responsible with electricity at least).
