Respect all versions of truth |

James E. Faust |
Among the other values children should be taught are respect for others, beginning with the child's own parents and family; respect for the symbols of faith and the patriotic beliefs of others; respect for law and order; respect for the property of others; respect for authority. |
Jonathan Jackson |
I've always been someone who's believed in truth. I believe truth exists. I don't believe in relativism, a 'your truth, my truth' kind of a thing. However, I also believe that the truth must always be spoken in love - and that grace and truth are found in Jesus Christ. |
Deb Caletti |
All of us create our own versions of an event, of our lives, even, not because we're liars, necessarily, but because we can only see and understand the truth from our own viewpoint, and a shifting viewpoint at that. |
Walter Isaacson |
When there are multiple versions of a story, you really have three ways to go. You can pick the most sensational version. You can try to balance things in your gut to get to what you think is the honest truth. Or you can err on the side of kindness. |
James E. Faust |
Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth telling, truth speaking, truth living, and truth loving. |
Umberto Eco |
Perhaps the mission of those who love mankind is to make people laugh at the truth, to make truth laugh, because the only truth lies in learning to free ourselves from insane passion for the truth. |
Clint Eastwood |
Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that's real power. |
DMX |
I'm a King. Regardless of what I've been through and what I've done, I present myself as a King. And I get that respect from people, from everybody I deal with. I worked my whole life to establish that respect and make sure I get that respect. |
John Abercrombie |
Classical musicians do this all the time. They want perfection. So they piece things together. Eight bars of this and six bars of that. Glenn Gould said that with a recording he wanted to make perfect versions of pieces. |
Manny Farber |
Orson Welles's second 'I-did-it' should show once and for all that film making, radio and the stage are three different guys better kept separated. 'The Magnificent Ambersons' is one of those versions of the richest family in town during the good old days. |

Everyone thinks their souls path applies to every other soul and ppl that deviate from their personal truth are invalid. Why can't people follow their inner guidance without needing everyone else to validate it? Meanwhile so many people preach unconditional love but only respect ppl with conditions similar to their own. Fuck all of us. <3

I think you shouldn't respect everyone. I think that I try to and that is good but it is not good to respect people who don't treat you well. There comes a point where it is unhealthy to listen to what they say.

the trouble is in the mind, for the body is only the house for the mind to dwell in, and we put a value on it according to its worth. Therefore if your mind has been deceived by some invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into the form of a disease, with or without your knowledge. By my theory or truth, I come in contact with your enemy and restore you to your health and happiness. This I do partly mentally and partly by talking till I correct the wrong impressions and establish the Truth, and the Truth is the cure.

my life is seriously constant existential crisis. i can not go a day without questioning the meaning of mine or humans existence. i will not be happy until i know the truth, and the moment of truth is immediately before death.

I have a big problem: There is a forum I've written on for a couple years now called high existence where people ponder reality and different social issues with regards to freedom and truth and love. Ive met two alcoholic guys there who are very creative and I started to look up to them more than myself bc they always seemed to have an answer for everything, even if it was that I was a worthless cunt doll who should be dragged by the hair and curb stomped. I shared so much with these people and still look up to them so much even though they both think I'm a pathetic attention whore and say I'm so empty I can't fill a blank space and only want the d. They take all of my anxiety and worry from their slander and channel it into making art that everyone else admires them for as creative geniuses. One of then claimed to be In love with me for a year and spoke to me everyday with seeming sincerity, and even got me to drive to Minnesota to see ...

Accordingly, seeing that our senses sometimes deceive us, I was willing to suppose that there existed nothing really such as they presented to us; And because some men err in reasoning, and fall into Paralogisms, even on the simplest matters of Geometry, I, convinced that I was as open to error as any other, rejected as false all the reasonings I had hitherto taken for Demonstrations; And finally, when I considered that the very same thoughts (presentations) which we experience when awake may also be experienced when we are asleep, while there is at that time not one of them true, I supposed that all the objects (presentations) that had ever entered into my mind when awake, had in them no more truth than the illusions of my dreams. But immediately upon this I observed that, whilst I thus wished to think that all was false, it was absolutely necessary that I, who thus thought, should be something; And as I observed that this truth, I think, therefore I am,[c] was so certain and of such...
