I watched all of the show Lost Girl and I thought it was really interesting. I wasn't particularly fond of the plot or setting or any of that but the characters and their interactions were something I've not seen in a TV show before. |

When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost. |

He who has seen one cathedral ten times has seen something; he who has seen ten cathedrals once has seen but little; and he who has spent half an hour in each of a hundred cathedrals has seen nothing at all. |

I try to do something the audience might not have seen before. Like if I'm gonna kiss a girl I wanna kiss her like a girl has never been kissed. Like maybe I would kick her legs out from under her and catch her right before she hits the ground and then kiss her. |

Right whales, for all their size, are surprisingly athletic. They roll, they slap their flukes, they lift their heads out of the water in a move known as a spy hop. They find playthings and are particularly fond of swimming repeatedly through clumps of seaweed, which slides over them like a feathered boa. |

Sometimes, the smaller roles in movies can be the most interesting. If you only take the stance that you'll only play central characters in movies, you'll find yourself not being able to indulge in that morally grey terrain that makes support characters so rich and interesting. |

I believe the most intricate plot won't matter much to readers if they don't care about the characters, especially in a series. So I try to focus hard on making each character, whether villain or hero, have an interesting flaw that readers can relate to. |

I tend to jot down moments, lines, interactions that don't really make any sense. I try and explain these scattered notes to my close friends, and they become more and more logical. I see screenwriting as a bit like a math equation which I have to solve. |

What I would say is Jesus came to save lost sinners like you and me, and if Jesus Christ has a burning desire to seek and save the lost, then you should, too, if Christ is living within you. If you don't have a concern for the lost, then I am concerned about your salvation because the Holy Spirit wants the lost to come to Christ. |

Art is not meant to change the world, but when you see people interacting, when you see an impact on their lives, then I guess in a smaller way, this is changing the world. So, that's what I believe in. That's why I'm into creating more and more interactions. |

I am really drawn to damaged characters, and I have a lot of sympathy for them. Making those complicated characters empathetic is something to strive for. It's too easy to create a good guy or a good girl. |

I had a dream where I had a dream and in both my dream and my dream's dream people that I didn't want to seduce me were trying to seduce me and it was weird and I don't want to get into it but in my dream there was a cartoon TV show that I was watching with these strangers and the plot was there was a family of platypuses and the punch line of every joke was that the parents would accidentally kill their daughter platypus and then she would come back to life looking more deformed. It was a great show.

I carried a stuffed animal with me till I was plenty old enough to not do that. My family thought I was a pussy, but I've realized over the years it was actually me experiencing existential problems early on in my life and that was just how I dealt with it as a child. I bring this up because it was a simba stuffed animal and this dance show played hakuna matata. i did end up giving that toy to a girl who ended up losing it or throwing it away or something. kinda symbolic lol gave an important part of me and it was trashed lmao. #philosophia

1 In 4 Statisticians Say They Were Asked To Commit Scientific Fraud (acsh.org)
As the saying goes, "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." We know that's true because statisticians themselves just said so. From a report:
A stunning report published in the Annals of Internal Medicine concludes that researchers often ask statisticians to make "inappropriate requests." And by "inappropriate," the authors aren't referring to accidental requests for incorrect statistical analyses; instead, they're referring to requests for unscrupulous data manipulation or even fraud....

I had a dream that this girl was being tortured by this guy and the girl somehow broke free and then found a knife and started stabbing the guy and cutting him and he was bleeding everywhere and completely ignoring being stabbed and showed no indications of pain and kept saying creepy stuff and eventually he lost enough blood that he fell over and died.

I really felt like JKR copped out in book 7. She'd been setting up the Wizarding World—especially the Ministry—as having some serious problems that just get swept under the table: Sirius's lack of a trial, the laws against werewolves, the marginalization of Muggle rights, the lack of a responsible/reliable source of information that wasn't outright propaganda. None of these problems were Voldemort's fault, but JKR seems to want us to believe that simply by having Harry defeat the Dark Lord everything's coming up roses. The ultimate example was Umbridge: in book 5, she's a petty bureaucrat who is evil, but it's a human evil based on stupidity, small malice, and a very large sense of self-importance. (She seems to be fairly typical of the wizarding government.) When Umbridge shows up again in Deathly Hollows, she's made the transition from a human evil to the Death Eaters' style of evil (the kind of outright mustache-twirling tie-me-to-the-train-tracks evil that Voldemort represents), a...

I had a dream that I followed some girl into an apartment and I was talking to her and she was saying some things that sounded like English but didn't make any sense. She was going through the fridge and then walked into a bedroom. I followed her and then I realized that she was a robot version of a girl I use to know. For some reason this then made it obvious to me that the not robot version of her also lived in the apartment. Then the dream got weird. I snuck into the other room when it was dark and the real girl and some dude were there. The girl couldn't see me but I kept moving around and making noise enough that the guy thought someone else was in the room, but the girl didn't notice. It was like I was purposely trying to freak out this guy. Eventually they both realized someone was there and I ran away. They didn't find me.
