I had a dream where there was this big obstacle course and there was no padding or foam pit at the bottom. It was really high up and people were jumping through little platforms and it would be real bad if they fell. Also, before that I was riding a horse and the horse and I were both people and animals and I was riding the horse in the dark and started sliding and then the lights turned on and we were on a frozen lake. We weren't animals and people at the same time, but like-- changed back and forth. |

We are sliding back into a dark era, and there seems little we can do about it. I am profoundly depressed at just how difficult it has become merely to get a realistic conversation started on issues such as climate change or genetically modified organisms. |

I never got hurt when I was in Morocco doing all the horse riding and my own stunts. But on the last day on the last shot I slid off my horse and landed on my bottom. I did not get hurt but it was very embarrassing. |

Being surrounded by hockey, I got forced into it as a kid. I started skating when I was 4 and had a rink only 10 minutes from my home. In my town, we had one outdoor rink and one indoor rink, so you could skate all year long. I lived by a lake, too, so we did a lot of skating on the lake. |

What I fell in love with as a child was 'My Fair Lady,' 'Funny Face,' 'American in Paris,' and 'Singin' in the Rain.' Just perfect movies to me and I was dancing. I started ballet when I was three. And I fell in love with those movies and fell in love with Audrey Hepburn and Leslie Caron. |

I have plenty of dream roles because there is so much I want to do, but my dream year would be to be in a single-camera comedy and then, on my hiatus, film a little low-budget indie drama. That would be a dream 12-month period. A dream role depends on having good material and working with people that I can learn from. |

If you look only as Genesis as an allegory, you have a major problem, because if it's an allegory, then tell me who our ancestor was? If Abraham was real, then from Abraham if Adam isn't real, if it's just an allegory, it's just a story, then what's the real Adam who really fell in a garden and really sinned? Where did we come from? |

The drama teacher that I had in high school, back in Texas, was the only teacher who didn't kick me out of his class. He turned me on to 'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.' I had picked up Dylan with 'Bringing It All Back Home,' and he turned me on to the first couple of albums, which I hadn't heard. |

In my movies, there has been little to do in the way of animal rights. I have never worked in a movie with animals. No horse-riding, no trained dogs, lions, bears. A few actors, but what could I do? We had to have them. |

I played Chang here under the lights here. I think that was '91. Another good match. I've played a lot more good matches under the lights than I played bad. You tend to remember some of the bad ones unfortunately. |

When I was a young guy, when I first started with G.E., Jack Welch sent us all to Japan because in those days Japan was gonna crush us. And we learned a lot about Japan when we were there. But over the subsequent 30 years, the Japanese companies all fell behind. And the reason why they fell behind is because they didn't globalize. |

I had a dream that I was running through a forest and I saw these shadows running parallel to me. They weren't very large shadows and when I ran into a clearing I saw a lake. A couple of small deer, a cat, and a couple dogs ran out. There was a lake and snow everywhere, but the lake wasn't frozen and all the animals ran into the lake and swam away.

There is a Taoist story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. "Such bad luck," they said sympathetically. "May be," the farmer replied.
The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. "How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed. "May be," replied the old man.
The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. "May be," answered the farmer. ...

I had a dream where I was leading a group of people that I think I had known a long time ago to an apartment where some relative of mine lived. I think they wanted to kill my relative for some reason and they didn't know I was related to this person so I was pretending to be on the group's side. I knew that if I stopped leading this group to my relatives apartment they'd attack me too. So I led them almost to the apartment but then I had a chance to disappear when they weren't looking so I ran into some random building and I found a way to climb up the wall. I was trying to get into a corner and hide and wait until they all disappeared. Some military-looking vehicle passed by and people shined lights in the windows but no one could see me because I was high enough up.

I had a dream that I was in some kind of tower and there were platforms attached to the walls that were pretty big and slightly overlapping the ones below them. I guess there were some ladders or some way to get from one to the other. Some people I knew were there but they were on another platform and my orange cat was there and he fell off the side of one of them but didn't seem to react at all as he fell down into the abyss.

I had a dream that I was at my parent's house in their office and a balding man in a suit walked up to me with a gun and asked me for directions to a mirror. I told him how to get to the mirror down the hall and he said he didn't get it so I started drawing him a map. My siblings showed up and started drawing maps too and then one of them hit the guy suddenly and we all shoved him into a waffle maker. He turned into a tasty looking waffle which was kind of disturbing. Then I woke up briefly and fell asleep and had another dream. This one was about cannibalism. There were several picnic tables stacked on top of each other but each one had piles of books on top. I climbed up this stack of tables to find a book at the top and then I jumped off and landed in a grassy field. My mom and my sister (I don't have a sister) were there and my mom was trying to keep my sister from trying to eat other humans. She was carrying around a big pepper shaker and trying to pepper people before she attemp...

I had this really terrible dream this morning that I had to put my horse to sleep because she had the same fungus infection that my fish were dying from, and I gave it to her because I didn't wash my shoes off well enough before leaving the lab..

I had a dream that I was driving a car and I think someone was speeding past us but for some reason we needed to catch him. I took a shortcut to cut him off and then suddenly was in a suburb and not in a car. The guy was on a horse and had a gun and was shooting at me and chased me all across town.

I had a dream that there was a dollhouse or something and that people in the real world could be put in the dollhouse and they'd be like copies of the people. Inside the dollhouse, there were these giant slug things that would latch on to people and suck the life out of them. The people were trying to escape. They thought that they were the real people and didn't know that they were copies.

I had a dream that I was at some sort of wedding in a country I didn't recognize. They had all these strange traditions that I was trying to figure out and participate in but I had no idea what I was doing. Everyone was wearing a blue, red, or tan colored robe. I was wearing a tan one and people were in groups. I was supposed to be in a group but I couldn't figure out which one. I had some realization that my group must have left already. I didn't know where they were going but I ran out of this room and there was a big glass elevator. There was a guy frantically pointing at the patterns on the tile floor and rambling about the elevator. Three people stood in front of the elevator, me and two women. One women saw this guy and stepped back and the other woman and I got on the elevator. It went down nearly to the bottom and then started moving up again and suddenly fell off the cables and crashed two or three stories below. I crawled out of what was left of the elevator covered in blood...
