I feel like it's possible someone could grow up in this world at a time when competitive math competitions are more popular than major sports games are now. And they'd have announcers and live audiences going crazy and stuff and they'd be like "ohhh looks like he did the carry wrong! But he's got one more chance!"... not a prediction or anything just like doesn't seem that far off from reality. |

In my school, the brightest boys did math and physics, the less bright did physics and chemistry, and the least bright did biology. I wanted to do math and physics, but my father made me do chemistry because he thought there would be no jobs for mathematicians. |

Writing is so wrapped up in ego, but with math one is just trying to get it right, although you're often wrong. I think math helped me become a good critic of myself, come at writing a little less personally. |

I love dressing up. I like going out and buying some crazy stuff. I like stuff that's new, innovative and weird. I just pick out stuff that is unique and anything that I'm really diggin'. I don't really care if it's kind of out there. That's what I'm about. I like picking stuff that is really different. |

My biggest pet peeve are just girls who go to sports bars who have no intention on caring what teams are playing, like they're looking for just a night out. That drives me more crazy than anything else. Like, don't pretend to be a sports fan. |

The optimist underestimates how difficult it is to achieve real change, believing that anything is possible and it's possible now. Only by confronting head-on the reality that all progress is going to be obstructed by vested interests and corrupted by human venality can we create realistic programmes that actually have a chance of success. |

You have to feel good in what you're wearing; if you don't feel good it's not going to look good. You ever see someone wear something that's crazy and say, 'That's so crazy!' But they look good in it, because they feel good in it - you can just tell. |

I still feel that in India we look upon sports as a recreational activity - which it is - but people have to understand that there is a career in sports. It's not just necessary to be a doctor or a lawyer or an engineer, as most of us Indians appear to think that our children should grow up to be. |

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. |

Personally, I'm not into reality shows - I can't even name a reality show that I was a really big fan of, altogether as a whole, not just from MTV. Like, if ABC has another reality show, I'm like, 'Oh God, another reality show.' But people love them. 'The Hills', 'Laguna Beach'... those do extremely well. It's just a personal preference. |

We need new athletes all the time because we need new games every day - fudging just a little on the definition of the word 'need.' We like to have new games every day, and, if we are to have a constant and endless flow of games, we need a constant flow of athletes. |

One time I was walking down the sidewalk in Okemos and I saw an iPhone in the grass so I picked it up and it rang. I answered it and told the people that I had their phone and where I found it. They said they were 45 minutes away but they'd drive and come get it from me. I gave them the address of an abandoned house and told them to meet me there. This middle aged married couple showed up and gave me $20 dollars for the phone and thanked me and they acted so confused about how their phone ended up in Okemos. It sounded like they'd never even been there. Then I walked home.

Video game idea: Watercolor World: you live in this world where everything is watercolor and you have to do something and you have to fight stuff and when you interact with the world the water moves and stuff and if you punch something it runs down the page sometimes.

I had a dream where I was leading a group of people that I think I had known a long time ago to an apartment where some relative of mine lived. I think they wanted to kill my relative for some reason and they didn't know I was related to this person so I was pretending to be on the group's side. I knew that if I stopped leading this group to my relatives apartment they'd attack me too. So I led them almost to the apartment but then I had a chance to disappear when they weren't looking so I ran into some random building and I found a way to climb up the wall. I was trying to get into a corner and hide and wait until they all disappeared. Some military-looking vehicle passed by and people shined lights in the windows but no one could see me because I was high enough up.

I had a dream that there was a dollhouse or something and that people in the real world could be put in the dollhouse and they'd be like copies of the people. Inside the dollhouse, there were these giant slug things that would latch on to people and suck the life out of them. The people were trying to escape. They thought that they were the real people and didn't know that they were copies.

I was recently thinking about aging. It's been my opinion for a while that we should just accept that we are going to grow old and die and that we have to get over it. I have now heard the argument, however, that the things that happen to us while we age are not unlike the things that happen to us when we get diseases and die. They went on to say that we should treat them the same and we should work on curing aging. This isn't to say that we should live forever, but that the flaws in the mechanisms that replicate our cells could be fixed or assisted and that we could live for a much longer time. I think it's interesting to think about and I agree that it is worth pursuing. Imagine if the life expectancy doubled. What great things could people accomplish if they had more time?

Devouring Time, blunt thou the lion's paws, And make the earth devour her own sweet brood; Pluck the keen teeth from the fierce tiger's jaws, And burn the long-lived phoenix in her blood; Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleet'st, And do whate'er thou wilt, swift-footed Time, To the wide world and all her fading sweets; ...
