I would like to have the original ending to my Lord of the Rings instead of the one they released. In my original cut I had the victory at Helm's Deep as the final sequence. |
Robert Jackson |
We are not final because we are infallible, but we are infallible only because we are final. |
Alec Baldwin |
A lot of people want to not wear a tie when they go to a restaurant. They feel they don't have to wear a tie. I think it's kind of a statement they're making. I don't know what that statement is. I haven't quite figured that out yet. |

The Igbo used to say that they built their own gods. They would come together as a community, and they would express a wish. And their wish would then be brought to a priest, who would find a ritual object, and the appropriate sacrifices would be made, and the shrine would be built for the god. |
Martin Campbell |
With 'GoldenEye,' the franchise got locked into this legal fight. They couldn't make new Bond movies for about seven years. It was my first huge production. I figured if I did at least a yeoman-like job, it would be greeted as a complete revival of the series. |
Morgan Fairchild |
Hiding my migraines on the set may have been my toughest challenge as an actor. There were times when the pain from migraine headaches was so severe that I literally had to crawl across my dressing room floor. But I couldn't let anyone know. If they thought I might slow production, I figured that would end my career. |
Dennis Farina |
When they released Sidewalks of New York, there were some shots with the towers they were going to take out, and Ed told them no. I don't think they can deny the towers were a part of New York. |
Shawn Fanning |
That's why I ended up leaving school - because it required so much time, and it was such an excellent idea. I figured I would regret not going full force with this idea. It seemed we could make something of it. |
Nick D'Aloisio |
I put together an iPhone app called TrimIt and released that in July 2011. About a month later, the private fund of the Hong Kong billionaire Li-Kashing cold emailed me and expressed an interest to invest, but they didn't realize I was 15. They thought it was a U.K. company with a team. |

It's been all over the press, and schools are deciding to shut it down. We released a public announcement saying that we had some potential solutions that we were working with, and once we had something concrete we would start implementing it and approach schools. |

I live in a world of fantasies Where all the money of the world grows on trees It's picked and used to fuel the fires To keep us warm and restrain our desires Every night as we observe the stars The eerie light helps heal the scars
The earth stood still, holding its breath ...

I had a dream during which I think I figured out the actual bug in my script, but then I woke up and forgot my dream.

I had a dream that I was in an airport and I was texting my roommate who was at home. Suddenly there was a PSA that the country was about to be bombed but they didn't know where. I figured that since I was in a major airport that I was going to die. They said to seek shelter, but there was nowhere to go.

California DMV Changes Rules To Allow Testing and Use of Fully Autonomous Vehicles msmash 3 hours ago 35 The California Department of Motor Vehicles is changing its rules to allow companies to test autonomous vehicles without a driver behind the wheel -- and to let the public use autonomous vehicles. From a report: The DMV released a revised version of its regulations and has started a 15-day public comment period, ending October 25, 2017. California law requires the DMV to work on regulations to cover testing and public use of autonomous vehicles, and the regulator said that this is the first step. "We are excited to take the next step in furthering the development of this potentially life-saving technology in California," the state's Transportation Secretary, Brian Kelly, said in a stat...

I procrastinated on submitting expense reports for both of my interviews (which happened almost a month ago) until today. All of the sudden, when the weight of final projects came crashing down, it seemed very important to take out the envelopes of receipts and carefully itemize my expenses.

I had a dream that these two doctors were killing lots of people and trying to hide it but people figured it out and they were trying to escape from the hospital and I saw them sneaking away and I chased them outside but then I lost them. I was sprinting around the city and they kept turning around corners and eventually, I ended up at a cliff and they were just gone.

Hacker Group Leaks 'NSA's Top Secret Arsenal of Digital Weapons'
Hacker group 'The Shadow Brokers', which last year allegedly released top-secret tools that the National Security Agency had used to break into the networks of foreign governments and other espionage targets, today said it is disappointed with President Donald Trump, and released more such alleged tools. From a report on Motherboard: On Saturday, The Shadow Brokers, a hacker or group of hackers that has previously dumped NSA hacking tools, released more alleged exploits. The group published a password for an encrypted cache of files they distributed last year. "Be considering this our form of protest," the group wrote in a r...

So I figured out a plan. I'm going to go to Madrid and buy a Eurail pass and stay in hostels all over Europe and attempt to see historical sites / nature / plus cool foreign cities. All in an attempt to better familiarize myself with humanity. Plane ticket to Madrid from DTW, $1500. Eurail pass with 10 rides about $400. I want to go for like 3 months

"Had a manager a long time ago who wore a really nice hat outdoor (he was a little old fashioned). My co-workers and I found the exact same hat at the local mall and bought two. One was a 1/4 size larger, the other a 1/4 size smaller. Every now and then when he'd leave the hat in his office, for instance a trip to the restroom, we'd switch hats.
The questioning look on his face every time we switched was priceless. The size difference was just enough to mess with him, without making the hat look weird. I don't know if he every figured it out, it went on for a year and was still going on the day I left."
