I had a small screwdriver in my backpack for probably 12 years. I use it to fix computers and harddrives. I've flown with it that whole time, probably 100 flights. Today at the Frankfurt airport they said they have to take it. It's not expensive or anything but it's so fucking stupid. It's theft.

Investigation Finds Inmates Built Computers, Hid Them In Prison Ceiling
The discovery of two working computers hidden in a ceiling at the Marion Correctional Institution prompted an investigation by the state into how inmates got access. In late July, 2015 staff at the prison discovered the computers hidden on a plywood board in the ceiling above a training room closet. The computers were also connected to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's network. Authorities say they were first tipped off to a possible problem in July, when their computer network support team got an alert that a computer "exceeded a daily internet usage threshold." Think about a fake blood or spit sample with malware tho. They've been encoding massive amounts of data into DNA for awhile but if it translates over to anything more used than DNA it could be a huge issue for any court or hospital. Crazy shit tho. So specific but just think about 20 years from now it could be a real attack vector

i realized i have trouble expressing myself due to my past experiences and the overwhelming nature of them. my dad left my mom 2 years after i was born. my brother has lived in japan for almost 10 years. my mom was wrongfully fired and unemployed for almost 2 years while i was in college, food stamps was a savior to us. I watched the 'plug being pulled' on my grandpa 3 years ago. watched my dog die and literally take his last breath a year later. my grandma died a few months ago.
