It might be better if I implement this as an actual feature kind of like the related quotes stuff. If you have texts I could just store them in a separate table. |

Certainly, R.E.M. grew out of the Wuxtry record store in Athens, where Peter Buck was working and Michael Stipe came in to visit. And even their later manager, Bertis Downs, they all met and congregated at that record store. So I'm sure we wouldn't see those without the record store. |

At the beginning of a new project, often before I do any actual writing, I collect photos, quotes, song lyrics, and even objects that relate to the characters or the world I'm creating. |

I love dressing up. I like going out and buying some crazy stuff. I like stuff that's new, innovative and weird. I just pick out stuff that is unique and anything that I'm really diggin'. I don't really care if it's kind of out there. That's what I'm about. I like picking stuff that is really different. |

There are a few 'Raw Shark Texts' tattoos floating around the Internet now, so I'm gathering them up to post on my forum. It's a strange thought, knowing that readers are tattooing themselves with something I've created, but it feels wonderful to have added something that people care about to the world. |

I would love to direct but I feel like directing is a whole separate craft and so I tend to respect it as a separate craft that I would need to study first. So, right now I'm still trying to do certain things as an actor and until I get bored of that or I feel completely fed by that then I'll move into directing. |

I start a lot more songs than I finish, because I realize when I get into them, they're no good. I don't throw them away, I just put them away, store them, get them out of sight. |

We sleep in separate rooms, we have dinner apart, we take separate vacations - we're doing everything we can to keep our marriage together. |

I went to college in Connecticut, which was when I still lived at home. I worked at a video store, a wine store, and did odd jobs here and there like landscaping. |

You can't be what you don't see. I didn't think about being a doctor. I didn't even think about being a clerk in a store, I'd never seen a black clerk in a clothing store. |

In this time of the Internet and nonfiction, to be on an actual bookshelf in an actual bookstore is exciting in itself. |

Charlie, I'm thrilled that the related quotes feature is up and running, and congratulations, but what on earth are some of these quotes? I'm not into the Goethe quote about silver dishes and golden apples. It's a relic of a time when women were thought to be passive creatures with no will of their own. You should do some quotation curation.

I'm so pumped about the new Related Quotes feature.

I think it'd be cool to see some kind of dystopian sci-fi movie come out where its like AI is everywhere and it's messing stuff up but there are people who can break the AI by acting really weird. Like if their behavior is out of distribution then the systems breakdown and it's kind of like hacking. Could have an opening scene where its like a business meeting or something and there is a human that suspects that the people he's meeting are machines, so he starts saying weirder stuff and the AI keeps the conversation going or something where it should have stopped or been confused. Could have some other parts where people just do really bizarre movements, dress weird, and make weird sounds to fool robots.

I purposefully post some of the more esoteric-like stuff to try to get more comparisons in the future. These 'out there' thoughts that I've pondered are perfect for making connections using ThinkLynx. Eventually I want to post huge spiritual texts and excerpts of astronomy and technology and find weird correlations for no particular raisin

Periodic Table Turns 150 Years Old
The Economist tells the story of how French chemist Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier came to publish the first putatively comprehensive list of chemical elements -- substances incapable of being broken down by chemical reactions into other substances -- known today as the periodic table. It was Lavoisier and his wife Marie-Anne who pioneered the technique of measuring quantitatively what went into and came out of a chemical reaction, as a way of getting to the heart of what such a reaction really is. "Where the story of the periodic table of the elements really starts is debatable," reports The Economist, "but Lavoisier's laboratory is as good a place as any to begin..." Here's an excerpt from the report: ...

I am going to improve the related thoughts and tangents parts. My idea was that I wouldn't need tags and that stuff would just happen automatically. I could see them being useful for something though.

Walmart Patents Cart That Reads Your Pulse, Temperature (vice.com) 114
Walmart recently applied to patent biometric shopping handles that would track a shopper's heart rate, palm temperature, grip force, and walking speed. "The patent, titled 'System And Method For A Biometric Feedback Cart Handle' and published August 23, outlines a system where sensors in the cart send data to a server," reports Motherboard. "That server then notifies a store employee to check on individual customers." From the report: Over time, the server can build a database of data compared against store location and stress response, the patent says -- potentially valuable information for store planning. Other uses o...

Nice. It shows that this is related to a post you made a month ago about detecting weapons with Wifi. All sounds like pretty cool stuff.
