The mobile Web, location-based services, inexpensive and pervasive mobile apps, and new sorts of opportunities to access cars, bikes, tools, talent, and more from our neighbors and colleagues will propel peer-to-peer access services into market. |

Because in the New Normal you are more worried about the return of your capital, not return on your capital. |

The most difficult problems are naturally not involved in the search for forms for contemporary life. It is a question of working our way to forms behind which real human values lie. |
Chris Abani |
I truly believe that writing is a continuum - so the different genres and forms are simply stops along the same continuum. Different ideas that need to be expressed sometimes require different forms for the ideas to float better. I don't write essays as often as I should. |
Hans-Georg Gadamer |
It was clear to me that the forms of consciousness of our inherited and acquired historical education - aesthetic consciousness and historical consciousness - presented alienated forms of our true historical being. |
Robert Frost |
The strongest and most effective force in guaranteeing the long-term maintenance of power is not violence in all the forms deployed by the dominant to control the dominated, but consent in all the forms in which the dominated acquiesce in their own domination. |

One who is injured ought not to return the injury, for on no account can it be right to do an injustice; and it is not right to return an injury, or to do evil to any man, however much we have suffered from him. |

Ideas aren't magical; the only tricky part is holding on to one long enough to get it written down. |

Positive rights are the right to shelter, the right to education, the right to health care, the right to a living wage. These things are - these are, I would call them, more properly, political rights rather than positive rights. And they are extremely tricky, because now we are dealing with things that are zero sum. |

It's tricky to ask a filmmaker to explain his own work; usually we're the least qualified to make sense of what we've done, unfortunately, because of the tunnel vision required to create anything over four years. |

The Forms are expounded upon in Plato's dialogues and general speech, in that every object or quality in reality has a form: dogs, human beings, mountains, colors, courage, love, and goodness. Form answers the question, "What is that?" Plato was going a step further and asking what Form itself is. He supposed that the object was essentially or "really" the Form and that the phenomena were mere shadows mimicking the Form; that is, momentary portrayals of the Form under different circumstances. The problem of universals – how can one thing in general be many things in particular – was solved by presuming that Form was a distinct singular thing but caused plural representations of itself in particular objects. For example, Parmenides states, "Nor, again, if a person were to show that all is one by partaking of one, and at the same time many by partaking of many, would that be very astonishing. But if he were to show me that the absolute one was many, or the absolute many one, I should be...

Unsent Text On Mobile Counts As a Will, Australian Court Finds msmash 4 hours ago 91 A court in Australia has accepted an unsent, draft text message on a dead man's mobile phone as an official will. The 55-year-old man had composed a text message addressed to his brother, in which he gave "all that I have" to his brother and nephew. From a report: The Supreme Court in Brisbane heard the 55-year-old took his own life in October 2016, after composing a text addressed to his brother, which indicated his brother and nephew should "keep all that I have," because he was unhappy with this wife. A friend found the text message in the drafts folder of the man's mobile phone, which was found near his body. The unsent message detailed how to access the man's bank account details and where he wanted ...

Kids these days... My students showed me the first fidget spinner I've seen in real life and dab when they get a tricky question right or finish a presentation. But some of the oldies are still good - the boys in my class would crack up whenever they saw a triangle "because of the illuminati"

Dream from 6/20/2012:
"I was in my room and my older brother was on my bed with some guy and he handed me a dvd case filled with cds and said 'heres your cds back, your library books are probably late'. I opened the case and there were like 10 cds and I only had two so I threw the rest back at my brother and walked away. Then I was in a different house I'd never seen with my roommates from Flint and they were telling me that I should return my library books but that the library was probably closed. I didn't want to return this book on artificial intelligence so I was trying to figure out if they were going to charge me for anything. Then I was in my kitchen and I pulled my backpack out of the freezer in front of my parents and was pretending that it wasn't weird"
