There was a time when watching a cartoon was a nurturing experience. You would watch a Warner Bros. cartoon, and at the end of it you could probably win 'Jeopardy.' |

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. |

A great department store, easily reached, open at all hours, is more like a good museum of art than any of the museums we have yet established. |

I was in Beijing a month ago working on the smoke project in collaboration with an architect there, and I was asked very directly whether it was safe to breathe in the smoke. They did not have confidence in the museum not to use harmful smoke, and they certainly didn't have confidence that the city would protect them from harmful smoke. |

I did this within a philosophical framework, and a moral and legal framework. And I have been turned into a cartoon of the greatest villain in the history of lobbying. |

What I am out to do is make sure that the Met continues to be the most exciting encyclopedic museum in the world. I want to sustain the vibrancy that makes it exciting to work here, that makes it exciting for visitors. The art remains central. |

Back then, my idol was Bugs Bunny, because I saw a cartoon of him playing ball - you know, the one where he plays every position himself with nobody else on the field but him? Now that I think of it, Bugs is still my idol. You have to love a ballplayer like that. |

Sometimes when I flick through a magazine and see these thin models I'm left wondering what effect they can have on an insecure person. But I say to girls: forget what you see in the magazines, that is a world which has nothing to do with reality; think of it as a cartoon. |

People will always consider me a cartoon character, a bimbo. They will never give me credit. |

I definitely wasn't cool in high school. I really wasn't. I did belong to many of the clubs and was in leadership on yearbook and did the musical theater route, so I had friends in all areas. But I certainly did not know what to wear, did not know how to do my hair, all those things. |

When I was really little I had a very memorable dream. I was being chased up a cartoon steamboat by a Barney-looking-type. By the way, I was princess peach in my dream. I ended up jumping off the steamboat and swimming to some island, but I think I woke up before getting to the island because I don't remember anything interesting after that.

I had a dream where I had a dream and in both my dream and my dream's dream people that I didn't want to seduce me were trying to seduce me and it was weird and I don't want to get into it but in my dream there was a cartoon TV show that I was watching with these strangers and the plot was there was a family of platypuses and the punch line of every joke was that the parents would accidentally kill their daughter platypus and then she would come back to life looking more deformed. It was a great show.

Mona Lisa Thefts
On 21 August 1911, the painting was stolen from the Louvre.[27] The theft was not discovered until the next day, when painter Louis Béroud walked into the museum and went to the Salon Carré where the Mona Lisa had been on display for five years, only to find four iron pegs on the wall. Béroud contacted the head of the guards, who thought the painting was being photographed for promotional purposes. A few hours later, Béroud checked back with the Section Chief of the Louvre who confirmed that the Mona Lisa was not with the photographers. The Louvre was closed for an entire week during the investigation.

Movie idea: find a bunch of random video clips and ask several people to put them in the "correct" order. Then find the order they agree most on and play them in order to make a trippy movie and do some small touches up to make it flow a little better. Then you can remove more frames from each successive scene to make it look like time is moving faster.

New Study Suggests Humans Lived In North America 130,000 Years Ago
In 1992, archaeologists working a highway construction site in San Diego County found the partial skeleton of a mastodon, an elephant-like animal now extinct. Mastodon skeletons aren't so unusual, but there was other strange stuff with it. "The remains were in association with a number of sharply broken rocks and broken bones," says Tom Demere, a paleontologist at the San Diego Natural History Museum. He says the rocks showed clear marks of having been used as hammers and an anvil. And some of the mastodon bones as well as a tooth showed fractures characteristic of being whacked, apparently with those stones. It looked like the work of humans. Yet there were no cut marks on the bones showing that the animal was butchered...

When I grow up, I want to have enough money to open up a cafe in San Francisco. Maybe in the castro. Or...maybe close to the beach on the west side. I want to decorate it nicely and I want to serve nisu with matcha spread. I would also serve arepas bc there aren't places that serve good arepas there and my boyfriend really likes those. I would probably make him make them though. I would allow doggos to come so that i could pet them. I would make some dope toasts with my nisu. Like avocado and such. I really like coriander and lime.
