I see. I think we´re all exactly on the right path :D but I get what you mean. Values confuse me because everyone has different priorities and those without priorities are rather unfocused and those with strong values can be very self-righteous. Oh well! |

Man is lost and is wandering in a jungle where real values have no meaning. Real values can have meaning to man only when he steps on to the spiritual path, a path where negative emotions have no use. |

I think that the romantic impulse is in all of us and that sometimes we live it for a short time, but it's not part of a sensible way of living. It's a heroic path and it generally ends dangerously. I treasure it in the sense that I believe it's a path of great courage. It can also be the path of the foolhardy and the compulsive. |
Henry David Thoreau |
As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. |

'Dallas' hit a chord back in the late Seventies and Eighties because it was the age of greed: here you have this unapologetic character who is mean and nasty and ruthless and does it all with an evil grin. I think people related to JR back then because we all have someone we know exactly like him. Everyone in the world knows a JR. |

I didn't see myself any different from my white counterparts in school. I just didn't! I thought I could do what they did. And what I didn't do well, I thought people were going to give me the opportunity to do well, because maybe they saw my talent, so they would give me a chance. I had no idea that they would see me completely different. |

Well, capitalism is going to grow and grow. The nature of it is that the guy who has the most poker chips on the table has more leverage than everyone else. He can eventually outbluff everyone else and outraise everyone else at the table. That's what has happened and it needs to be corrected. |
Johnny Depp |
If there's any message to my work, it is ultimately that it's OK to be different, that it's good to be different, that we should question ourselves before we pass judgment on someone who looks different, behaves different, talks different, is a different color. |

North Carolina is strong because our people are strong. They define our state - by their hard work, commitment to their families and neighbors, their willingness to sacrifice so that their children can have a chance to forge their own path. |

I have my team. Like if you see everyone around me - I have my hair and makeup girl, my assistant. They're very calm, they're all about positive energy. There're no drama queens. Everyone wants everyone else to have a positive experience. There are no agendas. I think it creates a healthy environment and there are no boundaries to cross. |

The women I admire most in this business are Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler and Winona Ryder. Susan Sarandon because she's, well, Susan Sarandon. Winona because she's never compromised herself by showing her body in any of her love scenes, and Bette Midler because she has such a varied life. Her family, her marriage and her career are all priorities. |

When I've been high for weeks at a time I start struggling with freestyling and annunciation but even when I stop getting high at the beginning of my days and continue smoking in large quantities at night, my mind still functions well. Obviously you will get lost if you are always high unless you are very firmly planted but for someone like me, regardless of how strong my values are, I am involved in a few too many different interests and weed definitely gets me stuck in between these loves. Between music, marketing, theosophy, and just chillin, I got a lot on my plate and remaining grounded is important. There is a place for everything, or to quote myself, "theres a time to work and a time to blow that purple"

Well also that life still requires that we ground ourselves with relationships with others bc the authority of human nature demands it. But if you are trying to live without conforming to others values it's it may make you more antisocial than is healthy

The history of marriage and the history of sex then suggest to me that individuals value sex, but society actually values labor.

Society has never evolved from the standpoint of viewing sex as a social contract. We don't trade livestock for peoples' daughters anymore, but the principle still remains. The man achieves wealth and power and success...and he is then rewarded with sex from the woman. In this economy a females sexual appeal is infinitely valuable and can be traded for almost anything a man can produce. Its no wonder society only values females bodies.

We Could Have Had Cellphones Four Decades Earlier
Professor Thomas Hazlett of Clemson University analyzed the history of wireless spectrum and concluded the technology was known and available for cellphones in the 40s, but there was no spectrum available. Based on assumptions cellphones would always be luxury goods without mass appeal, significant spectrum for divisible cellular networks wasn't legally usable until the early 80s. Instead, the unused spectrum was reserved for the future expansion of broadcast TV to channels 70-83. Here's an excerpt from the report: "When AT&T wanted to start developing cellular in 1947, the FCC rejected the idea, believing that spectrum could be best used b...

I basically meant that there are those who have not embraced a certain path and are testing the waters of many different teachings where as others have come to follow a single path already and a farther along it than beginners.
