You don't have to agree with things that make you feel bad. |

Roald Dahl |
I find that the only way to make my characters really interesting to children is to exaggerate all their good or bad qualities, and so if a person is nasty or bad or cruel, you make them very nasty, very bad, very cruel. If they are ugly, you make them extremely ugly. That, I think, is fun and makes an impact. |
Frank Zappa |
One of my favorite philosophical tenets is that people will agree with you only if they already agree with you. You do not change people's minds. |
Daniel Inouye |
I do not personally agree with some of the positions that Mr. Gonzales has advocated, but that should come as no surprise, because I do not agree with many of the proposals made by the man who nominated him, President Bush. |
Nikki Haley |
I encourage people to find and use the power of their voices just as much when I do not agree with those voices as when I do agree with them. |
Joichi Ito |
I agree that it is not just the extremists who harbor bad thoughts or engage in bad acts, but they are usually the source of the polarization and try to keep education and communication of the main stream from moving forward. |
Naima Adedapo |
No matter what as an artist that's always what you want to do, you want to connect to the audience, you want to be able to send whatever message it is that you're singing about, you want to be able to convey that - and not make them feel - you want them to feel it, you want them to feel what you feel. |
Joey Lauren Adams |
I want to feel passion, I want to feel pain. I want to weep at the sound of your name. Come make me laugh, come make me cry... just make me feel alive. |
Michael Eklund |
The thing is, I never see my characters as psychopaths. I see them as really crippled victims who just happen to do bad things. And I never see them as bad guys; I see them as darker characters. I never see anything as good or bad; it's more light or dark, and the in-between is the grey. |
Abraham Lincoln |
When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion. |
Michelle Gagnon |
I was really fascinated by some of the things happening with Anonymous, the hackers group. I don't necessarily agree with everything they've done, but I thought it was a really interesting use of technology and the fact that there's a whole group of people who can take over systems and fight things from behind the scenes. |

I'm not sure if I can be mad at some of them. I feel like they haven't learned how to be self-aware or thoughtful. It's hard for me to make the distinction between something that I should be mad about and something that is just sad that they don't know... like who do I blame for that?
Regardless, I agree the world would be a better place if people were more thoughtful.

Well, it's really cool at first, and it's definitely a skill you can develop. You can get good at controlling your dreams, too (summoning new elements, or trying to render things differently (don't know how appropriate render is for word choice).
Exhibiting control is actually quite exhausting, ironically, and the in between stage (bad way to describe it) when you're on the verge of wakefulness and hanging on to a dream-state by a thread is quite an lonely, dark, barren, color-void space (not that there are very many colors in your dreams to begin with).
Personally, I feel it's much better...

Movie idea: find a bunch of random video clips and ask several people to put them in the "correct" order. Then find the order they agree most on and play them in order to make a trippy movie and do some small touches up to make it flow a little better. Then you can remove more frames from each successive scene to make it look like time is moving faster.

I was recently thinking about aging. It's been my opinion for a while that we should just accept that we are going to grow old and die and that we have to get over it. I have now heard the argument, however, that the things that happen to us while we age are not unlike the things that happen to us when we get diseases and die. They went on to say that we should treat them the same and we should work on curing aging. This isn't to say that we should live forever, but that the flaws in the mechanisms that replicate our cells could be fixed or assisted and that we could live for a much longer time. I think it's interesting to think about and I agree that it is worth pursuing. Imagine if the life expectancy doubled. What great things could people accomplish if they had more time?

I've been going to the dentist almost weekly for the past 4 months and my teeth seem to be getting worse. I don't eat any sugar or things that are hard to chew anymore and I do feel a little bit healthier for that but is this normal in Germany?

what quirks does he have? "idk how to answer this question. i feel like quirks are supposed to be things that are weird. but I feel like weirdness is relative. so I feel like it's kinda meaningless to ask as an independent question. if you are asking me this question, then idk what are my quirks?"

I like it when people say "I don't need drugs to feel good" or whatever, it's funny to me because your mind is still creating a barrier protecting yourself from the bad things. So even if you aren't using drugs your brain is working as a coping mechanism to block certain thoughts and events from your conscious.

You could be a broken robot and a successful human, they don't have to be disjoint sets. Also while I agree slavery isn't the best, efficiency is pretty cool.

I like the psyche distinction. How do you know you did everything you needed to do? What did you need to do?
I always feel like my life would be completely different if I had made a few different decisions and I don't know if I'd be happier or not in those other scenarios. The stress for me comes from trying to avoid missing the decisions that would lead to better scenarios. Every day the things I do have opportunity costs.
