Many, many times I find that whatever is looking good on the screen doesn't always look or feel good on the body. So who do we design for - do we design for the screen, or do we design for women? |
Scott Adkins |
I just remember Bruce Lee blowing my mind on the screen, and I thought to myself, 'That's what I want to do for a living when I'm older.' Bruce Lee was so magnetic and charismatic and held the screen so well. |
Gwyneth Paltrow |
My life is good because I am not passive about it. I invest in what is real. Like real people, to do real things, for the real me. |
Marilyn Manson |
Marilyn Monroe wasn't even her real name, Charles Manson isn't his real name, and now, I'm taking that to be my real name. But what's real? You can't find the truth, you just pick the lie you like the best. |
Gabriel Iglesias |
The Ford Flex is a really, really cool car. You get inside and you have so much headroom and it's really comfortable to drive and it's real techy inside. You look at the screen and it's blue and you've got all kinds of controls. Everything is digital. |
John Wayne |
All the screen cowboys behaved like real gentlemen. They didn't drink, they didn't smoke. When they knocked the bad guy down, they always stood with their fists up, waiting for the heavy to get back on his feet. I decided I was going to drag the bad guy to his feet and keep hitting him. |
Dyan Cannon |
I was seeking a real love, a real deal, and I have been seeking it for a lot of years. And in that seeking, I found that God's love is real. |
James Baldwin |
If you're treated a certain way you become a certain kind of person. If certain things are described to you as being real they're real for you whether they're real or not. |
Jerry Falwell |
I think hell's a real place where real people spend a real eternity. |
Ken Ham |
If you look only as Genesis as an allegory, you have a major problem, because if it's an allegory, then tell me who our ancestor was? If Abraham was real, then from Abraham if Adam isn't real, if it's just an allegory, it's just a story, then what's the real Adam who really fell in a garden and really sinned? Where did we come from? |

But also the comments on this screen are correct... so it's just the home screen feeds that aren't working.

I had a dream that Jerry from Rick and Morty was a giant monster and he was attacking me and I was running around this building and trying to kill him with a bow and arrow. My friend kept saying "hey are you ready to leave" like it was a videogame that she wanted me to stop playing but it wasn't. It felt like real life and like I was fighting for my life. Super weird.

I had a dream that there was a dollhouse or something and that people in the real world could be put in the dollhouse and they'd be like copies of the people. Inside the dollhouse, there were these giant slug things that would latch on to people and suck the life out of them. The people were trying to escape. They thought that they were the real people and didn't know that they were copies.

GPU Accelerated Realtime Skin Smoothing Algorithms Make Actors Look Perfect https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/jan/12/curse-of-perfection-male-actors-poldark
A recent Guardian article about the need for actors and celebrities -- male and female -- to look their best in a high-definition media world ended on the note that several low-profile Los Angeles VFX outfits specialize in "beautifying actors" in movies, TV shows and video ads. They reportedly use a software named "Beauty Box," resulting in films and other motion content that are -- for lack of a better term -- "motion Photoshopped." After some investigating, it turns out that "Beauty Box" is a sophisticated CUDA and Open...

Happens. Dreams are weird. I almost taught someone in real life last week but they didn't want to try on the ground.

In real life, of course, I totally support your decision to climb trees to escape from lobster people.

Screen Time Changes Structure of Kids' Brains, NIH Study Shows
Brain scans of adolescents who are heavy users of smartphones, tablets and video games look different from those of less active screen users, preliminary results from an ongoing study funded by the National Institutes of Health show, according to a report on Sunday by "60 Minutes." That's the finding of the first batch of scans of 4,500 nine- to 10-year-olds. Scientists will follow those children and thousands more for a decade to see how childhood experiences, including the use of digital devices, affect their brains, emotional development and mental health.
