A New Mexico woman is being tested for the Ebola virus in Albuquerque after recently returning from Africa, according to state health officials.
And in Sacramento, Calif. hospital officials say a patient ?who may have been exposed to the Ebola virus? is also in isolation as blood samples are tested to rule out the virus.
The 30-year-old woman is in isolation as a precaution at the University of New Mexico Hospital after experiencing symptoms similar to the virus that has killed more than 1,200 people overseas as of Tuesday, according to health officials.

Bitcoin Mining Heats Home For Free In Siberia (qz.com)
Quartz has published a video on YouTube about two entrepreneurs who have figured out how to heat their homes for free by mining bitcoin. The "miner" -- that is, the machine mining the bitcoins -- warms up liquid that is then transferred to the underfloor heating system. The cottage has two miners, which bring in about $430 per month from processing bitcoin transactions -- all while keeping the 20 square meter space warm.

Hackers Broke Into An SEC Database and Made Millions From Inside Information, Says DOJ
Federal prosecutors unveiled charges in an international stock-trading scheme that involved hacking into the Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR corporate filing system. "The scheme allegedly netted $4.1 million for fraudsters from the U.S., Russia and Ukraine," reports CNBC. "Using 157 corporate earnings announcements, the group was able to execute trades on material nonpublic information. Most of those filings were 'test filings,' which corporations upload to the SEC's website." From the report:

Any programmer of a certain age likely has a horror story about some rinky-dink coding and workflow environment that forced them to hack together a working app under extreme hardware and software constraints. Still, we're pretty sure none of those stories can beat the keyboard-free coding environment that Masahiro Sakurai apparently used to create the first Kirby's Dream Land.
