Joyce Meyer |
I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you're able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something... it's about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting. |
Robert Kiyosaki |
If you are the kind of person who is waiting for the 'right' thing to happen, you might wait for a long time. It's like waiting for all the traffic lights to be green for five miles before starting the trip. |
Henri Nouwen |
Waiting is a period of learning. The longer we wait, the more we hear about him for whom we are waiting. |
Justin Townes Earle |
I heard Nirvana, and discovered that songs could be like poetry, but a little bit more refined: you didn't have to have 20 verses to get your point across. |
Arthur Balfour |
He has only half learned the art of reading who has not added to it the more refined art of skipping and skimming. |
Gaston Bachelard |
Ideas are refined and multiplied in the commerce of minds. In their splendor, images effect a very simple communion of souls. |
John C. Maxwell |
Failed plans should not be interpreted as a failed vision. Visions don't change, they are only refined. Plans rarely stay the same, and are scrapped or adjusted as needed. Be stubborn about the vision, but flexible with your plan. |
James Joyce |
The artist, like the God of the creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails. |
Thomas Chandler Haliburton |
Contentment is, after all, simply refined indolence. |
Christina Aguilera |
I'm an ocean, because I'm really deep. If you search deep enough you can find rare exotic treasures. |

I had a dream that I was in a tall building that looked like hotel rooms and offices and I was waiting deep in this hotel-room type looking thing (but much bigger) around a bunch of corners for someone to open this door and try to assassinate me. There were a lot of mirrors so even though I was way in the back as far from the door as possible, I could still see the door and I was just waiting for it to open.

Microplastics Found In 90 Percent of Table Salt (nationalgeographic.com)
New research shows microplastics in 90 percent of the table salt brands sampled worldwide. Of 39 salt brands tested, 36 had microplastics in them, according to a new analysis by researchers in South Korea and Greenpeace East Asia. Salt samples from 21 countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia were analyzed. The three brands that did not contain microplastics are from Taiwan (refined sea salt), China (refined rock salt), and France (unrefined sea salt produced by solar evaporation). The study was published this month in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

I had some dream that a guy was standing in the corner of my bedroom with a big knife. I think he was a thief and he was waiting for me to stand up to attack me and kill me. I had another dream where someone was trying to kill me but I can't remember what happened.

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

Secretary of state call #1: Robot says 1-7 and 9 are options to hear the robot talk more, so I hit 8 and it says it's confused and so I keep hitting 8 and it says "agents are busy, try again later" SoS calls #2 and #3: I hit 8888 and the robot says "agents are busy, try again later" SoS call #4: I hit 8888 and the robot says it will put me in the queue and then 5 minutes later it says "we can call you back when someone is available" ... so now I'm waiting. It's been 45 minutes so far...

Over the past few years, a new paradigm for thinking about humankind's future has begun to take shape among some leading computer scientists, neuroscientists, nanotechnologists and researchers at the forefront of technological development. The new paradigm rejects a crucial assumption that is implicit in both traditional futurology and practically all of today's political thinking. This is the assumption that the "human condition" is at root a constant. Present-day processes can be fine-tuned; wealth can be increased and redistributed; tools can be developed and refined; culture can change, sometimes drastically; but human nature itself is not up for grabs.
This assumption no longer holds true. Arguably it has never been true. Such innovations as speech, written language, printing, engin...
