The "super blood wolf moon eclipse" is coming to a sky near you later this month. "The total lunar eclipse will start late on Sunday, Jan. 20 and finish early on Monday, Jan. 21," reports USA Today. Slashdot reader Zorro shares the report:

I had a dream that Charlsey and I were on the moon and we were packing the space ship so we could go home and the moon looked just like Ben's house and there was plenty of oxygen. We were carrying very large equipment because of the low gravity and our space ship looked like a giant sphere with wrapping staircases around it. We were getting inside and I began to worry about reentering the Earth's orbit.

A Meteorite Hit the Moon During Total Lunar Eclipse
Observers of Sunday's lunar eclipse were blessed with the first known sighting of a meteorite impact during such an event. From a report:
The so-called "super wolf blood moon" was eagerly watched by millions of people around the world, mostly via live streaming video. During the eclipse, some people noticed a tiny flash, a brief yellow-white speck, popping up on the lunar surface during the online broadcasts. I had a Christmas napmare where a bunch of people I know were at my grandma's and it looked like a storm was coming. I walked inside by myself into the kitchen and then I heard the loudest and longest thunder ever and everything was blindingly bright and I didn't know if I was going to be okay or what happened to anyone else.
