Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. |
Jean Ingelow |
The moon looks upon many night flowers; the night flowers see but one moon. |

I think that when NASA works on a moon shot, they know too well that all of the people working on it must do their job at 110 percent. Sometimes they probably put in 18 hour days, but they're aiming for the moon, and that's what counts. |
Robert Ballard |
Almost a quarter of our planet is a single mountain range and we didn't enter it until after Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin went to the moon. So we went to the moon, played golf up there, before we went to the largest feature on our own planet. |
Genelia D'Souza |
When in doubt, always opt for going naturel rather than hiding your skin under foundation and such. Line your eyes with kohl and mascara, put on some bright lip gloss and pinch your cheeks a little bit to get them all flushed and bright! |
Stephen Hawking |
In my school, the brightest boys did math and physics, the less bright did physics and chemistry, and the least bright did biology. I wanted to do math and physics, but my father made me do chemistry because he thought there would be no jobs for mathematicians. |
Barbara Feldon |
I've always supported myself. I like the sense of knowing exactly where I stand financially, but there is a side of me that longs for a knight in shining armor. |

Cleveland's a great place when you're a kid. You hardly ever get sunburned, without the sun shining. |
Dave Eggers |
The key thing is, even if you only have a couple of hours a month, those two hours shoulder-to-shoulder, next to one student, concentrated attention, shining this beam of light on their work, on their thoughts and their self-expression, is going to be absolutely transformative, because so many of the students have not had that ever before. |
Desmond Tutu |
Because forgiveness is like this: a room can be dank because you have closed the windows, you've closed the curtains. But the sun is shining outside, and the air is fresh outside. In order to get that fresh air, you have to get up and open the window and draw the curtains apart. |

Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse Is Coming Later This Month (usatoday.com)
The "super blood wolf moon eclipse" is coming to a sky near you later this month. "The total lunar eclipse will start late on Sunday, Jan. 20 and finish early on Monday, Jan. 21," reports USA Today. Slashdot reader Zorro shares the report: Total lunar eclipse: A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon and the sun are on exact opposite sides of Earth, according to NASA. When this happens, Earth blocks the sunlight that normally reaches the moon. Instead of that sunlight hitting the moon's surface, Earth's shadow falls on it. Starting at 9:36 p.m. EST Jan. 20, skywatchers will notice a "little notch is taken out of the...

The sun was shining on the sea, Shining with all his might: He did his very best to make The billows smooth and bright-- And this was odd, because it was The middle of the night.

I had a dream that Charlsey and I were on the moon and we were packing the space ship so we could go home and the moon looked just like Ben's house and there was plenty of oxygen. We were carrying very large equipment because of the low gravity and our space ship looked like a giant sphere with wrapping staircases around it. We were getting inside and I began to worry about reentering the Earth's orbit.

A Meteorite Hit the Moon During Total Lunar Eclipse
Observers of Sunday's lunar eclipse were blessed with the first known sighting of a meteorite impact during such an event. From a report: The so-called "super wolf blood moon" was eagerly watched by millions of people around the world, mostly via live streaming video. During the eclipse, some people noticed a tiny flash, a brief yellow-white speck, popping up on the lunar surface during the online broadcasts. One Reddit user raised the possibility that this was a meteorite impact and others scoured eclipse footage for evidence of the event. A flash is visible in at least three different videos. Jose Maria Madiedo at the University of Huel...

I finally did it. I mistook black pepper for cardamom and peppered up my smoothie. Even with the bright lights on. I need sleep. Or it was a stroke of genius, it's delicious.

I had a Christmas napmare where a bunch of people I know were at my grandma's and it looked like a storm was coming. I walked inside by myself into the kitchen and then I heard the loudest and longest thunder ever and everything was blindingly bright and I didn't know if I was going to be okay or what happened to anyone else.
