Vodaphone is the worst fucking company. You pay like 80 bucks a month for a gigabit connection and what you get is like 1995 dialup speeds of 100kbps and most web pages won't load? It is so depressing to think about how much better the world would be if these monopolies didn't exist. We should burn them all to the ground and start over. |

I talked about the barriers created by monopolies. I said that it was the role of government to break up these monopolies and that we couldn't do it alone. |

I think a book that is over 400 pages should be split in two. I don't know that there's anything that interesting that can go on for 700 pages. I think that is a little bit indulgent. |

We would be driving down the street in a place like Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo, and started to see, my gosh, the only people that have shoes are men. Why does that woman have a baby in her belly and one on her back, and she's carrying a huge load of bananas? You start to ask these questions. |

I would never say that I'm good at being on dates. I think I like to try to find a connection with somebody, like, that's my main thing. I think that maybe if you find a connection with a girl on a date, that's like the No. 1 thing, and then it's like, 'Cool, that was a great date.' |

The best thing you can learn from the worst times of your life is that it always gets better. It may take a month, a year, a decade, but it will get better if you leave yourself open to it. |

India made a big mistake by signing up to TRIPS. With a population of 1.3 billion, India can't afford a monopoly in healthcare. Monopolies lead to higher prices and we can't allow them in a country like India with so much poverty and misery. It was like signing our own death warrant. |

If you look closely, there is no book more visual than Three Trapped Tigers, in that it is filled with blank pages, dark pages, it has stars made of words, the famous magical cube made of numbers, and there is even a page which is a mirror. |

In America, if you succeed, you don't have to apologize. In Italy, success is envied, and envy is the worst, worst, worst thing in the world. It's easy for me to say because I have had more than many others, but at the end of the day, I have never envied anyone. I wish to no one that they waste their time envying anyone else. |

Once, I optioned a novel and tried to do a screenplay on it, which was great fun, but I was too respectful. I was only 100 pages into the novel and I had about 90 pages of movie script going. I realized I had a lot to learn. |

I love the op-ed pages of the 'L.A. Times,' the 'Washington Post' and the 'New York Times.' There's just no substitute for the people who are thinking and writing on those pages. |

USB-IF Confusingly Merges USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Under New USB 3.2 Branding
The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), this week announced a rebranding of the USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 specifications, under the USB 3.2 specification. USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 will now be considered previous generations of the USB 3.2 specification. From a report: Going forward, USB 3.1 Gen 1 (transfer speeds up to 5Gb/s), which used to be USB 3.0 prior to a separate rebranding, will be called USB 3.2 Gen 1, while USB 3.1 Gen 2 (transfer speeds up to 10Gb/s) will now be known as USB 3.2 Gen 2. What used to be considered USB 3.2 will now be USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 because if offers twice the throughput speeds of USB 3.1 Gen 2, now USB ...

So I have a theory. There are 7 "Rays" of energy that ascended masters protect. With 5 more that were secret. 12 Rays. I immediately made the connection to the 12 zodiacs, 12 disciples, ad of course the number 13 with the extra "One" being the most high. But the second connection I drew was to the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World and the idea of the world grid. This connection (provided the ancient wonders are truly located on sources of unusual energy) would imply there are 5 other major locations of spiritual energy emanating from earth. Not to mention all but the pyramids are destroyed from the ancient wonders of the world with many of the original locations lost. Most of the spiritual monuments we see are built around astronomy and sun Rays shine through to specific spots on specific dates.

made me lul - According To Quincy Jones, The Beatles Were “The Worst Musicians In The World”
“They were the worst musicians in the world. They were no-playing motherf**ers. Paul was the worst bass player I ever heard. And Ringo? Don’t even talk about it. I remember once we were in the studio with George Martin, and Ringo had taken three hours for a four-bar thing he was trying to fix on a song.
He couldn’t get it. We said, “Mate, why don’t you get some lager and lime, some shepherd’s pie, and take an hour-and-a-half and relax a little bit.” So he did, and we called Ronnie Verrell, a jazz dr...

Devouring Time, blunt thou the lion's paws, And make the earth devour her own sweet brood; Pluck the keen teeth from the fierce tiger's jaws, And burn the long-lived phoenix in her blood; Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleet'st, And do whate'er thou wilt, swift-footed Time, To the wide world and all her fading sweets; ...

they do but the imporant thing is trusting that you are making the right decisions. you wont ever know the outcome or results before picking, so instead of being fearful of decisions, you must be confident and be a decider. 'let the chips fall where they may'
take the opportunities offered, they only knock once. but i have given up some awesome opportunities like being moved to LA to work for a web company, but i dont regret not doing it because it was the right decision at the time to turn it down. i wouldnt be who i am today if i went there, and it might be better, but i chose to stay and finish my album and im happy i did. ...

SPs Won't Promise To Treat All Traffic Equally After Net Neutrality
An anonymous reader writes: The FCC voted to put an end to net neutrality, giving internet providers free rein to deliver service at their own discretion. There's really only one condition here: internet providers will have to disclose their policies regarding "network management practices, performance, and commercial terms." So if ISPs want to block websites, throttle your connection, or charge certain websites more, they'll have to admit it. We're still too far out to know exactly what disclosures all the big ISPs are going to make -- the rules (or lack thereof) don't actually go into effect for another few months -- bu...
