I do a lot of writing these days... wish I was doing something else like drawing or game making |

Be true to the game, because the game will be true to you. If you try to shortcut the game, then the game will shortcut you. If you put forth the effort, good things will be bestowed upon you. That's truly about the game, and in some ways that's about life too. |
John Irving |
When I was still in prep school - 14, 15 - I started keeping notebooks, journals. I started writing, almost like landscape drawing or life drawing. I never kept a diary, I never wrote about my day and what happened to me, but I described things. |
Ann Landers |
The poor wish to be rich, the rich wish to be happy, the single wish to be married, and the married wish to be dead. |

I wanted to be the next Dana Carvey. This was my ultimate goal. If I ever cut into a birthday cake and made a wish, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.' If I threw a coin into a fountain, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.' If I saw a shooting star, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.' |
Bjarke Ingels |
All comic books take place in built environments, and I was very good at drawing people and animals, and stuff like that, but I hadn't spent much energy drawing buildings. So I thought, maybe I could, and then I became an architect. |

Just think of the opportunities we can unlock by making education as addictive as a video game. This type of experiential, addictive learning improves decision-making skills and increases the processing speed and spatial skills of the brain. When was the last time your child asked for help with a video game? |
Paul Cezanne |
Pure drawing is an abstraction. Drawing and colour are not distinct, everything in nature is coloured. |
Kirsty Gallacher |
I have always enjoyed drawing and painting but I don't always find the time to do much these days. |
Meg Cabot |
Write the kind of story you would like to read. People will give you all sorts of advice about writing, but if you are not writing something you like, no one else will like it either. |
Christopher Morley |
Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to continually be part of unanimity. |

I had a dream that I was at a bar and there were these gangsters sitting at a table talking and one of them was drawing a picture of a duck. He got up and walked away for a bit and I sat down and finished his drawing. I did not speak to the other people. They just watched me draw this duck and then I left.

Stephen King’s 20 Rules for Writers
1. First write for yourself, and then worry about the audience. “When you write a story, you’re telling yourself the story. When you rewrite, your main job is taking out all the things that are not the story."
2. Don’t use passive voice. “Timid writers like passive verbs for the same reason that timid lovers like passive partners. The passive voice is safe.”

I'm planning on making a game component to ThinkLynx where you get points based on the votes on your thoughts.

I had three dreams in a row. The two were nightmares. The first was that someone was wearing a bear costume but then I think that they started to act like a real bear and eating people which was really scary and then the second one was that one of the robots from the new zelda game was living in my backyard and wanted to break into my house. The third one was that I was in highschool again and I volunteered for some writing exercise I had to do on the board and it was kind of weird but had something to do with oranges.

"Back in 99 just before the Y2K scare, my buddy worked there and would get calls like that all the time. He would pick up the phone when they called and not say anything for a second to see if he could hear any snickering before saying the store greeting. If he could tell it was going to be a prank call he would start the greeting and then congratulate them on being the lucky caller that would receive a free game for calling. All they had to do was come down and pick it up. Sounds stupid but it worked every time. When the kids showed up to get the free game he would have them pose with the game they chose, take their picture with the Polaroid camera, take the game from them and then ask “How does it feel to be pranked? Stop calling the store and get out”."

they do but the imporant thing is trusting that you are making the right decisions. you wont ever know the outcome or results before picking, so instead of being fearful of decisions, you must be confident and be a decider. 'let the chips fall where they may'
take the opportunities offered, they only knock once. but i have given up some awesome opportunities like being moved to LA to work for a web company, but i dont regret not doing it because it was the right decision at the time to turn it down. i wouldnt be who i am today if i went there, and it might be better, but i chose to stay and finish my album and im happy i did. ...

I had a dream where I was trapped in a house with a bunch of people and there were things that would kill you but every couple minutes you could say something out loud that was like a rule about what couldn't kill you. There were certain restrictions on the rules you could make but if you said "I can't die from a knife wound" then if you got stabbed you would come back to life. It was like a terrifying game of trying to predict what would kill you and making valid rules.

"Being in high school is like playing the main storyline of a video game where you have easily defined goals and missions. Being an adult is like after you beat the game and you just kinda wander around aimlessly collecting stuff you don’t really need."
