I had a dream that my family was renting this house by this lake and there was a chain I found on the ground that I pulled on and I found that it went into the center of the lake and at the end was a big coin. There were seagulls by the lake and as I was pulling the chain one flew into my pocket and then an identical looking one kept diving at my head. Then I was climbing up these stairs and there was a cat that wanted the seagulls. The cat caught one but then it tried to escape and the cat fell off the stairs. The owner of the cat came and told me that the cat was in school and that the cat was going to be expelled for being irresponsible and falling down the stairs. |

T. S. Eliot |
Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things. |
Gaston Bachelard |
If I were asked to name the chief benefit of the house, I should say: the house shelters day-dreaming, the house protects the dreamer, the house allows one to dream in peace. |
Niger Innis |
The purposeful restriction of knowledge has been at the heart of untold misery and hardship in this world. Serfs were kept illiterate so as to not jeopardize the feudal system. Slaves were kept in the dark on a variety of subjects so as to not provide them the possibility of escape. |
Bob Balaban |
I'm from Chicago, my family started a chain of movie theaters in Chicago that were around for 70 years and then one of them became the head of Paramount and the other was the head of production at MGM and we all came out of Chicago. |

I was always prepared for my 'Fringe' journey to end immediately. I had only signed up for a guest role but they kept bringing me back in the third season as a recurring character. So pretty much every time I went to film a 'Fringe' episode I kind of said goodbye to the show, but then they kept bringing me back. |
Carl Sandburg |
Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you. |
Dianna Agron |
What I fell in love with as a child was 'My Fair Lady,' 'Funny Face,' 'American in Paris,' and 'Singin' in the Rain.' Just perfect movies to me and I was dancing. I started ballet when I was three. And I fell in love with those movies and fell in love with Audrey Hepburn and Leslie Caron. |

An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. |

I've been singing properly every day since I was about fifteen or sixteen, and I have never had any problems with my voice, ever. I've had a sore throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris during a radio show. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it. |

I went out with some old friends and we were having fun. A couple of them were very intoxicated. When I went to leave, I refused to let them drive. So when I got pulled over, I was the driver. |

I had a dream that I was running through a forest and I saw these shadows running parallel to me. They weren't very large shadows and when I ran into a clearing I saw a lake. A couple of small deer, a cat, and a couple dogs ran out. There was a lake and snow everywhere, but the lake wasn't frozen and all the animals ran into the lake and swam away.

I had a dream my friend and I were walking quickly across the surface of a lake in the dark. There were long skinny strands of leafy plants just barely under the surface of the water and it almost looked like they were providing a path but our feet didn't touch them. Our feet only touched the surface of the water. It seemed like we were trying to carefully escape something but we were afraid we might break the surface of the water.

"Michigan" is Chippewa for "gigantic fucking water". The state is named after the lake.

There once was a man from Lake Placid. Who liked to get strung out on acid. He'd often meet honeys, who'd want to bump uglies...but you see, the drug left him quite flacid. #limerick war

I had a dream that I was a person that could fly and I viewed my entire life in 3rd person. I flew around and then found this raft near a large body of water. I stood on this raft thing and caught fish with my hands.

I had a dream I was in the USA and I was driving around in a car with my friends and we were trying to figure out how to buy property on the river or lake or some body of water and I got out of the car to ask a group of people sitting on the lawn and I apologized for not speaking their language and then tried to ask them if they knew English and how they got property here but it was in the USA so that was a strange thing to apologize for and that was pretty much all that happened that I remember.

Microplastics Found In 90 Percent of Table Salt (nationalgeographic.com)
New research shows microplastics in 90 percent of the table salt brands sampled worldwide. Of 39 salt brands tested, 36 had microplastics in them, according to a new analysis by researchers in South Korea and Greenpeace East Asia. Salt samples from 21 countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia were analyzed. The three brands that did not contain microplastics are from Taiwan (refined sea salt), China (refined rock salt), and France (unrefined sea salt produced by solar evaporation). The study was published this month in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

I had a dream that I was at my parents house helping them with something. There was an earthquake and ground the house was on fell forward into a crack. This didn't damage the house but it made the floors unlevel and you would have to hold onto things to pull yourself up to the rooms in the back of the house. Everyone was outside when it happened and then I was going into the house to get something and I got attacked by a bunch of yellow jackets. I had my hood up and they were going for my neck for some reason so I was trying to shield my face and keep distance between my sweatshirt and my skin but it didn't really work.

I had a dream where my friend and some other people were in my parents house. It felt like we were drunk but I don't know if it is just a conscious reflection of the actions in normal dream logical inconsistency that makes it seem drug induced. Anyway I had to shower and someone ran into the bathroom before I could and kicked me out. I went upstairs but the stairs were like planks sticking out of the wall in the kitchen. The upstairs of the house was a narrow tower of hot springs with openings to let air from outside come in. I went up and swam around and then exited to the outside from upstairs (but at ground level). Then I was walking around in the snow and a police officer came up to me to ask what I was doing. I decided to go get some food and walked away to a busy street.
